We enjoyed everything about our stay at The Bell Inn. Staff were very welcoming, polite and friendly. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Excellent room facilities, tastefully decorated and with a bright, modern and immaculately clean en suite.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.

No Wi Fi in room and room was supposedly the best in the hotel but we found the noise from the bar area travelled to our room making it hard to sleep until after closing time.

The location of The Bell was really lovely, with large grounds to walk round and sit. The room we had was large with a huge bathroom. All very clean and welcoming. The building itself is a delight to anyone who loves old places with character. The food (especially the breakfast) was very good too.Altogether a very good experience.

We were in the attic room - Beware if you are tall! Room was a little dated, but clean and comfortable

Convenient, excellent room and bed, problem-free.

Breakfast was chaotic, running out of items, ordering eggs seemed to be regarded as a chore.

Lovely location, just out of the busier areas. Pub across the road is excellent for food, but recommend booking! Rooms are nicely decorated and a good size

Food in the hotel was leaning towards expensive, and the portions appeared to be small.

Very friendly staff. Room small but comfortable. Good food. Lovely setting. Relaxing atmosphere.

No where does it warn you that it isn't the normal half board that you everywhere else. You get £20 per head allowance for evening meal. As the menu is expensive you go over this very quickly. No one tells you this. It isn't on booking confirmation either. Bar prices high too. Service very slow, average 30 minutes wait to get first course.

The location, staff, meals, hotel. The location just off the M27 and the start of the New Forest, ideal for our needs. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I only had two meals but they were both tasty and cooked to perfection. As we took our pet dog I was surprised at the level of accommodation offered to us, it was a lovely room with a welcome snack included for our dog.

    Having to leave.

We only stayed in the Bell for one night, we were made completely welcome by the staff. Gail, in the bar and, later, the Matre'D was without doubt one of the best hostesses I have ever come across. At breakfast we were spoilt for choice from the cold options and the hot ( English ) was beautifully fresh ( not dried out as in some hotels ) and maintained by Alfonso, an absolute gentleman, who obviously took a pride in 'his' breakfast service. I would stay at the Bell Inn again in a heartbeat.

Staff were great. Sausages on second day were lovely.

Breakfasts were rather dry due to being on hot plates and not freshly cooked. Evening meal was okay but fancy not plentiful. Great for a special occasion.

Great location within minutes of the M27 leaving you central to explore the new forest. Rural setting with horses and cows walking along the road outside. Food is excellent as was the service of the staff. Rooms well appointed.

Plenty of parking space. A pleasant rural location. Breakfast was good. The interior décor was good.

There was not much hot water and the flow of cold water was very slow. The room was very hot and quite close to a noisy extractor duct. (Room 19) The exit from the hotel is on a dangerous bend and a mirror would help.

Pleasant pub hotel, recently refurbed quality food.

Single rooms in attic incredibly hot in summer. Slow food service especially if you just want pub grub at the bar rather than 3 course meals.
