helpful staff .. breakfast/dinner fine
bedroom a little tired/bathroom dated
Food at the Bell Inn was excellent
Beautiful location , very friendly educated and wel travelled staff,
Having to leave
My boyfriend proposed to me!!!
Everything! Top class hotel
Leaving because it was fully booked
Great breakfast Friendly staff Nice bar and restaurant areas
our room (attic twin) was a bit tired
Friendly staff Comfortable room Central to New Forest
Incredibly overpriced drinks (£7.95 for a glass of Pinot, words fail me!) - no wonder the bar was empty on a Saturday night! Restaurant similar problem - head for Lyndhurst instead!! A lot of noisy men on golfing breaks - completely took over the Lounge one evening watching sport
location, helpful, friendly staff, good breakfast
noisy road strange, unappetising menu smell of cigarette smoke
The New Forest as an area of accessible, outstanding natural beauty with interesting historical places to visit. The hotel itself has an understated but stylish decor that epitomises the typical British reserve but with definite quality. The menu was varied and offered excellent, delicious food at a very reasonable price.
Our bedroom (No.11) was quite uncomfortably hot at night with only a desk-top fan to provide any relief instead of the air-conditioning that would have made the room facilities as excellent as the rest of the package. There was no easy alternative bedding either and the duvet provided, or the extra bedding on offer would be welcome if it were cold. The proximity to the A336 meant that the garden was not a place to really relax in, with constant road noise whenever we were there.
Hotel room was very comfortable, huge bed! very clean and staff were all very friendly.
Price! Bar and restaurant pricey and quite aloof. Excellent pub across the road though!
The excellent location to the new forest and easy access to local places of interest and motor way connections to the major towns and cities. I hope I will be able to take advantage of a round of golf on your excellent course in the future
We found the room was overly hot making sleeping difficult.
Good first impression of the building and decor. Easy parking. Close enough to Beaulieu for the event I was attending. Bar was clean and comfortable. Bed was comfy. Relatively inexpensive.
Had to wait to check in over 5 minutes - not a good first impression when you are tired and just want to get to your room. Two nasty stains on my room carpet -nice :( No instructions on the shower controls. Hot water was TOO hot in hand basin. Toilet seat would not stay up - not good for us guys! Cold toast at breakfast. Limited choice of hot food.
Lovely helpful well informed staff. Food was superb. Hotel was beautiful and set in a lovely location. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Great parking and easy to find.
The bathroom to the attic room was very scruffy and completely out of keeping with the rest of the hotel, I'm just 5 ft and I found that unless I remained in the middle of the room I was unable to stand upright. The shower leaked, the windows wouldn't fully close. Facilities for younger guests were non existent although most of the staff were very welcoming to her. Our room and the facilities within it were rather poor considering the price.
We enjoyed everything about our stay at The Bell Inn. Staff were very welcoming, polite and friendly. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Excellent room facilities, tastefully decorated and with a bright, modern and immaculately clean en suite.
The whole weekend was brilliant - the food in the restaurant was amazing. All the staff were fantastic, special mention to Danny, a real credit to the business!
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.
No Wi Fi in room and room was supposedly the best in the hotel but we found the noise from the bar area travelled to our room making it hard to sleep until after closing time.
The location of The Bell was really lovely, with large grounds to walk round and sit. The room we had was large with a huge bathroom. All very clean and welcoming. The building itself is a delight to anyone who loves old places with character. The food (especially the breakfast) was very good too.Altogether a very good experience.
Good location. Food excellent and staff helpful, especially the manageress.
We were in the attic room - Beware if you are tall! Room was a little dated, but clean and comfortable
Friendly, helpful staff at reception, in the lounge bar and restaurant. clean comfortable room, Very good lunch and breakfast.
Nothing that we can think of.
Convenient, excellent room and bed, problem-free.
Breakfast was chaotic, running out of items, ordering eggs seemed to be regarded as a chore.
Lovely location, just out of the busier areas. Pub across the road is excellent for food, but recommend booking! Rooms are nicely decorated and a good size
Food in the hotel was leaning towards expensive, and the portions appeared to be small.
excellent staff, good food and easy parking
Our room got very warm, it was 30 outside, needs aircon.
Very friendly staff. Room small but comfortable. Good food. Lovely setting. Relaxing atmosphere.
No where does it warn you that it isn't the normal half board that you everywhere else. You get £20 per head allowance for evening meal. As the menu is expensive you go over this very quickly. No one tells you this. It isn't on booking confirmation either. Bar prices high too. Service very slow, average 30 minutes wait to get first course.
