It was all excellent, the staff, accommodation, food. The meal in the evening was particularly good!
3rd time I have stayed here booked 30 mins before I arrived as feeling unwell The staff ere amazing Food delicious , wine yummy. I have recommended the Bell to all my friends and colleagues .
I stayed in the cottage just needed outside lights at the front as very dark when walking activists the patio area at night
attention to detail in the rooms and very pleasant staff
our room was accessed by going outside so could be a problem if raining
Atmosphere good and refurbishment was well done. A classy inn in which we will stay again.
I had forgotten the name of the bell from a previous visit two years ago .Thus delighted on a cold night to find another warm welcome ,excellent food and a good room . Will remember it for all future trips to Oxford ,Bicester etc .
Rustic chic styling and pleasant atmosphere. Delicious food and efficient helpful staff. Just one night felt like a real special treat holiday. We'll be going back!
Location, cleanliness and friendliness. Excellent restaurant.
Room comfortable except for low head room and dirty shower. Breakfast excellent.
Headroom in room 7 was a pain in the head (literally) We both cracked our heads several times during our stay. My wife actually left a head imprint on the low ceiling. The wet room floor had ingrained dirt between the tiles. Food rather pricey.
The food at dinner and breakfast was fantastic and the bath was lovely!
Each year we like to take a break between Christmas and New Year, visit Bicester Village and then put our feet up in a nice hotel. The Bell is maybe 10 minutes drive from Bicester situated in a quiet location, so perfect for our needs. The staff were very helpful and really friendly. We ate in the restaurant and although my husband wasn't very keen on his main course (this was not charged) overall the food & was excellent. Neither of us are breakfast people so I can't comment on that. Despite the small negative, I would happily recommend the Bell and would certainly stay there again.
This is an Inn and whilst our room was really nice, spotlessly clean with a fab bathroom, noise travels. I think even if the guest in the room above ours had tiptoed around we would have still heard them.
The location was great. Not far from the motorway. The rooms were very quaint and the bar was very relaxing. Excellent food. Ideal if you want to just chill out
Not much else in the village
Beautiful room, lovely bathroom very clean and extremely comfortable. We had a very enjoyable meal in the restaurant. Service excellent and staff extremely pleasant
We loved everything!
Lovely environment. Beautiful room. Bacon cooked to perfection.....!!
The location is far from it all and dining was good and popular
The bedroom we stayed in was one of the largest rooms I've been it. I spend a lot of time in hotels with work but this was one of the best I've stayed in. Huge bed and luxurious bedding, toiletries etc
Wifi connection was slow
Location,Charm, quality of fittings, decor and cosmetics etc Food Value
Large bathroom with ball and claw bath but no shower or even hand held shower - impossible to wash hair??? Pub very nice but over-restored so charm is fake Interrogated over drinks bill which made me feel like criminal when it was a mistake of the staff Check bed sizes on web site carefully - king size means something different in Oxfordshire
Attention to detail, level of comfort, unassuming approach to service, balance of modern and old.
Would have liked a magnifying mirror in the very lovely bathroom
The service from the staff was excellent and the bedroom was extremely comfortable with very good quality bedding. The en-suite was big and airy and nicely equipped. We had an excellent meal in the evening in the hotel's restaurant. The general ambience of the hotel was very good and it was well placed for our visit to Bicester.
Nothing except it was raining when we were first shown to our room, which was a short walk outside!
Cosy room, well appointed Staff were great, very friendly Food in restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced.
Mattress was a bit soft As it was an old property, soundproofing was not great, so we could hear the people upstairs!!
The staff were really friendly. They couldn't do enough for us. We were offered fresh milk on arrival for tea and coffee in our room. We stayed in room 3 which was large and had a lovely rain shower. We eat in the restaurant on Saturday night which was lovely. Breakfast there was loads of choice
Close to the A34 but far away enough so you can't hear it The Bell has got the gastropub formula spot on. Friendly, professional staff. Accommodation that both sexes can feel at home in. And a bar and restaurant that you can happily wile away time in whether you're reading the paper over a coffee or celebrating with family and friends. We'll definitely be going back.
Service was excellent throughout. Food was much better than last visit. Could not fault the stay
