This hotel is close to Oxford, adjacent to the A34 and just a 5-minute drive from junction 9 of the M40. Its attractive rural location is also convenient for Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds.

Beautiful room, lovely bathroom very clean and extremely comfortable. We had a very enjoyable meal in the restaurant. Service excellent and staff extremely pleasant
We loved everything!
Lovely environment. Beautiful room. Bacon cooked to perfection.....!!
The location is far from it all and dining was good and popular
The bedroom we stayed in was one of the largest rooms I've been it. I spend a lot of time in hotels with work but this was one of the best I've stayed in. Huge bed and luxurious bedding, toiletries etc
Wifi connection was slow
Location,Charm, quality of fittings, decor and cosmetics etc Food Value
Large bathroom with ball and claw bath but no shower or even hand held shower - impossible to wash hair??? Pub very nice but over-restored so charm is fake Interrogated over drinks bill which made me feel like criminal when it was a mistake of the staff Check bed sizes on web site carefully - king size means something different in Oxfordshire
Attention to detail, level of comfort, unassuming approach to service, balance of modern and old.
Would have liked a magnifying mirror in the very lovely bathroom
The service from the staff was excellent and the bedroom was extremely comfortable with very good quality bedding. The en-suite was big and airy and nicely equipped. We had an excellent meal in the evening in the hotel's restaurant. The general ambience of the hotel was very good and it was well placed for our visit to Bicester.
Nothing except it was raining when we were first shown to our room, which was a short walk outside!
Cosy room, well appointed Staff were great, very friendly Food in restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced.
Mattress was a bit soft As it was an old property, soundproofing was not great, so we could hear the people upstairs!!
The staff were really friendly. They couldn't do enough for us. We were offered fresh milk on arrival for tea and coffee in our room. We stayed in room 3 which was large and had a lovely rain shower. We eat in the restaurant on Saturday night which was lovely. Breakfast there was loads of choice
Close to the A34 but far away enough so you can't hear it The Bell has got the gastropub formula spot on. Friendly, professional staff. Accommodation that both sexes can feel at home in. And a bar and restaurant that you can happily wile away time in whether you're reading the paper over a coffee or celebrating with family and friends. We'll definitely be going back.
Service was excellent throughout. Food was much better than last visit. Could not fault the stay
Luxurious, classy and stylish, with real character. Great first class menu with wood-burning flatbed oven, but also with early evening two-course set meal for £10. I spend a lot of times in hotels and have rarely enjoyed a better experience than this.
Wifi very poor and intermittent signal.
Room was very big and well furnished it was nice to have a walk in shower instead of one over the bath. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was hot during the night but there were plenty of windows to open for fresh air, it was an unusually hot day, just wondered if would be possible to fit an air con unit?
Everything was perfect staff food, comfort and decor
Wifi not good in all areas of our room
Location. Staff . Room . Breakfast
It was a total joy!
Poor WiFi service.
We loved the furnishings, decor, friendly and helpful staff and excellent food. Maddie-- Preston UK
The staff were hard working, at times extremely busy but always efficient, attentive and cheerful. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The food and wine are excellent and we would recommend The Bell to friends and colleagues. We loved it and will return.
No phone in the room to call down to reception. The used toiletries and opened bottled water weren't replaced. It isn't cheap so this seems a bit penny pinching. Also the popularity of the restaurant, even mid week, means the car park fills up early and stays full till late so we had to leave our car on the grass verge along the road.
Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Good food. Room was very clean and tidy with modern facilities
No wardrobe so no hanging space for clothes other than a couple of coat hooks. Lighting levels in the room were very low. Electrical sockets not positioned adjacent to the mirror
The room was beautiful. The food amazing and the staff attentive and friendly.
Wifi was poor (not a massive issue though)
Staff, food, bedroom, parking. TV, wi-fi.
No telephone in room. Humming noise in room overnight ..not too bad but constant.
In a world of bland groups of hotels, predictable menu's,disinterested staff this is fantastic great find Dinner was possibly one of the best we have had ,we are fortunate to holiday in Dubia Italy London and have dined in top class restaurants this measures upto the best . If we need to make 100 mile detour to stay again we will.
Our room was huge. The bathroom was spacious and newly renovated. The beds were comfortable and although we had our room above the parking spaces of the house it was absolutely quiet during the night and we had an excellent sleep. The restaurant was outstanding as well. I've had the best pork in my life there!
