Park Lodge Hotel is in the quieter, upper part of Tobermory, Scotland, a short walk from the busy harbour front. The rooms are comfy and modern, and evening meals are available.

Christine very helpful and obliging, Anthony too. Second choice room was all right, however, the first choice was horrendous, especially for someone obviously dependent on crutches. Christine is a gem and offered to resolve the issue by relocating us to a more convenient room. Room was clean and well provisioned. Bit tired in places but like the enthusiasm to improve the place, It is, after all, a Scottish country inn, not a marble and glass, city edifice.
NOISE from the bar smokers who had a facility outside the bathroom window. To get some ventilation, necessitated the window being open, hence the noise, especially on a Friday night at "the local.". The need to have to go outside to gain access to the dining/breakfast room. The menu items are comparatively expensive and the impression is of attempting to create a silk purse out of a sow's ear.. Aspirations of greatness but not a Michelin starred restaurant. Anthony is knowledgeable about wines and enthusiastic. The assistant however, should refrain from talking, loudly at that, about politics and the merits of the UK benefits system amongst others. His vocal disparaging remarks were considered offensive. Finally, the lack of effective WiFi. whilst some appreciate the peace and quiet, others such as myself, rely on communications for both business and family contacts. I understand the difficulties on the island and Christine, you have my sympathies about BT.
Location, friendliness and food.
Having to leave.
The location is gorgeous and peaceful. The food is excellent.
There was no-one to meet me when I arrived and no-one seemed to be in charge. It was therefore difficult to find out a few little things. I discovered later that the owners were away. I also think it overpriced for what it is.
The staff were so helpful, friendly and knowledgable. The food was exquisite and the room was so comfortable. I couldn't fault it.
Atmosphere, bars and good range of high quality food. Countryside location away from the bustle of Tobermory.
The proprietor was both very well mannered and supremely efficient with the running of the hotel plus it's staff A most warm and welcoming chap
very friendly, lovely food, beautiful location
