Situated right in the middle of the town, 5 minutes walk from the railway station, the location was very good. The room we had was spacious and the en suite facilities were good also. Our room was at the back of the hotel so the views weren't exactly scenic, also our room was directly above the kitchen so we were woken at an early hour by pots and pans and noisey extractor fans. The floor in the room above was also creaky so when other guests were moving about, we heard every movement. The breakfast was adequate but certain items were only available at extra cost. Overall I think if we'd had another room away from the kitchen and perhaps with a view over the loch, the whole experience of stopping at the Imperial would have been much better. As it was, it was adequate at best.

Not much.... Functional impersonal. Shower was terrible...... No operating instructions all indications had worn off the shower. Only a towel rail for heating a large room with cold tiled floor. No blind at the window. Insufficient water to shower........ scalding hot or freezing cold.

We had an electrical problem in the room the first night and weren't able to have a shower. The staff acted willingly and offered us to have a shower the following morning in a different room (after guests were checked out) and we were rellocated to another room for the second night. We also got a free dinner as compensation but we had to push a little to get it. I think the price doesn't quite match the quality.

Our room was freshly decorated though quite small. Breakfast was very good. Location of the hotel was excellent, right in the centre of town. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the second floor and there was no lift, not a problem for us but maybe for others.

Check-in was painless, even though we arrived as a coach party this was handled very well by the lone receptionist. Our group all returned to the hotel bar together late in the evening, thirsty after a long, emotional day and the receptionist/barman handled our demands for drink efficiently and without complaint, even though he was probably looking forward to a much earlier finish. Eventually the barman tactfully shunted those guests still in the bar through into the reception lounge so he could close the bar. The breakfast also was very good No difficulties encountered

The room we were given looked out on to the fire escape.as the hotel was not full there was no excuse to allocate this room to us. However when we asked to be moved the receptionist gave us a choice of 3 better rooms for only £20 extra which we gladly paid
