Size of the room.
Stairs carry heavy suitcase upstairs(no lift) Shower old Need modern up .
Location is excellent, just a few hundred yards from the railway station. Rooms were a good size and well equipped.
You cannot pay for accommodation in cash (would have been helpful if this had been made known on booking). There is a strong smell of curry which seeps up to the first floor corridor; luckily the room has a little ante-room with a closing door so this wasn't an issue but my clothes hanging in said ante-room smelt of curry for the rest of the day!
The room and location were fine
The Indian food for dinner was terrible Both entrees (lamb and jumbo prawns) were burnt and tough. The prices were high for drinks as well.
Not a lot
Location, comfort and staff
The location very central
The room cleanliness and the bath had a dirt ring around it found large hair on the bedsheets mattresses were to soft and very uncomfortable.
Staff were very helpful and the bed was very comfortable Location good and facilities generally good and clean
Bit of a loud TV from next door (not really the fault of the hotel) The shower was a bit basic and needs upgrading
Location. Access to town and amenities excellent.
Very poor soundproofing. Could hear next door speaking word for word and using toilet facilities.
The room was well appointed and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. The hotel is ideally situated to access the town, the railway station and the parks.
I felt that the English cuisine was not particularly sparkling on the whole.
My husband and I arrived early but the room was ready for us. We ate in the restaurant and the food was so delicious, the staff were friendly and welcoming. We were staying there as we were going to a family wedding nearby and the location of this hotel was only 10mins walk to the town centre. Room was clean and nice big comfy bed. Would definitely recommend.
Food was first class
Rooms needed updating Smell from kitchen extractor made the room smell of fried food
Breakfast was good, but would like to have been offered more coffee.
Location location location and
No lift for a two storey building
liked the facilities in the dining room. The service was first class. The bedroom was roomy and all facilities were in good working order.
Our bedroom was on the second floor, there was no lift available not so good for older people.
Clean Very good food in restaurant Very helpful receptionist Good parking Large TV in room Complementary toiletries room cleaned daily
restaurant stopped cooking at 8.45 so as we didn't get back to the hotel until 8.30 were unable to eat there. Flood lights at the back of the hotel illuminating outside the bedroom window. The curtains were only thin. The lighting in the room was very poor, the light was good in the bathroom but you couldn't get close to the mirror due to the sink, toilet and shelf behind. Not ideal if you are short sighted!
very helpful and friendly staff
blue lights outside bedroom window and noise from other bedrooms
Rooms to noise
The only lighting in the bedroom cam from table lamps - useless if you are trying to put on makeup!!
Staff were very friendly & helpful. Food was brilliant, one of the best that I have eaten in. Long time.
The coffee was the worst that I have ever had. No wifi access in the room, no real place out of room to sit - bad benches in bar with couches pushed away & not allowed on
Comfortable beds. Very convenient location for us. Very accommodating when we arrived very late.
Curtains did not block out light from outside and did not fit the window! Not my choice to have black wallpaper! Only lighting was around room, no switch at the door
Found the hotel very warm and inviting , the breakfast was good and quick , would stay again .
Very friendly staff. Nice hotel will stay here again when in the area. Do fantastic currys in restaurant.
The question in the top part as not got a answer that is correct I was travelling with a work colleague
The Indian food and dining rom service - excellent
Bar closed very early
The room was spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable if not exceptional. The inclusive breakfast was quite good actually. Certainly better and bigger than breakfasts I have had at larger chain hotels. The pub and restaurant looked nice though it was dead empty and I didn't go in.
The hotel isn't much to look at so don't go expecting glamorous accommodation. My room had a view of the carpark and a Carpet Rite warehouse. The location is a few minutes walk from the train and about 15 minutes walk from town centre. This isn't bad, but you will be walking through quiet and dark residential neighbourhoods. I suppose if you want excitement or diversity you're better off staying in Edinburgh, but if you just need a quiet place to rest for the night then Beveridge Park Inn will suffice.
The staff are very helpful. Good parking area. Delicious breakfast.
The noise from other guests at all hours of the night. but I understand this is difficult for the hotel to control.
