Comfortable rooms, clean, excellent bar and restaurant service and good menu

The room was comfortable, nicely decorated, clean and warm. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent.

I have now stayed at this Hotel at least 4 or 5 times, so I can say I like it very much. I will not hesitate to make this hotel my first choice every time in this area.

Cannot think of one thing.

The staff were first class. Food was excellent and the rooms very comfortable and tastefully decorated. One downside..... I packed their hair dryer by mistake thinking it was my wife's only to be told she hasn't used one in 22 years !!!

The friendliness and efficiency of the staff along with the cleanliness was excellent. The food was of a high quality, albeit rather large portions. Rooms were very comfortable and of ample size. We would certainly recommend and return.

The hot water took a long while to come through, although very hot once it arrived. The tv was far too small for the size of the room which made it difficult to read any of the print, when looking for channels.

The shower was weak and only luke warm.

The staff is friendly and vẻn helpful. The rooms are nice and clean and a great value. The food is delicious. I would definitely recommend this inn and intend to stay at the inn the next time I'm there for business or vacation.

I have stayed here several times now and would always come here when visiting this area, whether for business or leisure. Quaint and historic building with lovely contemporary modern styled rooms. Food also great. Extremely clean and very comfortable as well as good value.

Being really picky here, but would be nice if breakfast in the week could be served a little earlier for business guests that have early meetings and have to be up and on.

Almost trying too hard to be like a fashionable trendy boutique hotel. Would like more personal, possibly even quirky touches. TV far too small in room. Food was very nice, but not excellent. Braised beef was slightly dry (but the accompanying veg were excellent) brownie slightly under-cooked.

Not very well signed from main road, gps took us around Abbotts Kerswell village with very narrow lanes.

The rooms are very good, tasteful and spacious. The food was lovely. The service was great. It is a beautiful place. Would stay there again.

Not much not to like. However, I had to leave before breakfast, as it is served only from 8 am so felt disappointed (and undernourished). Also a bit hard to find the place in the dark and pouring rain.

This was a return visit to Bickley Mill - what can I say? They didn't put a foot wrong! Really lovely, friendly owner, manager and staff, always ready to chat but still most professional and helpful. Food is brilliant and again, the service is impeccable. The whole layout with 3 log fires its gorgeous and spacious. Price is amazing value for money and I only hope I can always afford it. I know from previous experience that the double rooms are totally beautiful but this time we were in the only twin room as I travelled with a friend - we found it rather hot but the staff turned the heating down for us. During our stay we brought my friend's disabled sister over for lunch. The staff were brilliant, found a really good table and looked after us so well. Both my friend and her sister were equally impressed. It is a totally great place.
