The location to our evening event was good, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was well cooked although it was very large. The beds were too soft, and small singles [room was a twin]. The room door didn't lock, and the accommodation was generally a little run down.

The Staff were very friendly and there was a nice atmosphere in the bar. The food was very good. The bed was very comfortable. Ane xtra heater had been supplied due to the extreme cold weather, which was very thoughtful. It was good value for money and the location was excellent being only two minutes from the A14. The room was small and in need of redecoration and the ensuit bathroom was very small but adequate.

The breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly Under our window was where the smokers stood. This was smell and noisy. Late into the evening there was a domestic outside with women swearing and shouting. The room was tired.with a few places where paper was peeling. The shower itself was ok except the plug was blocked. When we cleared it the handful of gunk and hair was disgusting.

Friendly warm atmosphere-cosy lounge, nice food good breakfast, reasonably priced, nothing was to much trouble for the staff we were made very welcome. Bedroom and wash rooms need some tlc, and could be cleaner. A good lick of paint needed, bedding curtains and bedroom furnishings need renewing.

The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was fine. The bed was clean. The en-suite shower and basin were clean, however though toilet was clean, the seat was loose. On arrival, we found that our room had been given to someone else! The replacement room we were given was tiny. No chairs, only place to sit was the bed. Condition of bedroom was bad, rotting window frame, furnishings scruffy especially tv stand (a piece of rough plywood). There were no facilities to hang clothes except a double hook on the back of the door, one prong of which was broken off, and only two coat hangers, one of which was unsuitable. As we were going to a funeral the next day, we wanted to be able to hang up our clothes! We did ask a member of staff for a few extra coat hangers, but they were not forthcoming. The reading light on one side of the bed had no bulb. We also asked for a bulb for this light but we didn't get one. While bed itself was clean, there was thick dust on the skirting boards and dado in the en suite (which was otherwise acceptably clean). The carpet had obviously not been vacuumed, and when I pulled open one of the bedside table drawers, there was a pair of dirty children's socks in it!

This is a pub with some rooms upstairs so good if you want a pub evening with a short trip to bed. The price I paid was unbeatable and included a full breakfast. The room was very dated and in need of some TLC. the window would not close properly leaving the room a bit cold in october. it was also not very clean and the bed was old and lumpy.

Lively family atmosphere. The guy who runs it is lovely, very friendly and keen to provide anything I needed. An old historical building with lots of character. Dinner was lovely. There is noise from the bar which I expected but was woken by drunken shouting conversation either downstairs or outside in the middle of the night which went on for some time.

It was not clean, the room was shabby at best with damp and peeling wallpaper. The douvet cover was stained which didn't give a good initial impression. There were cobwebs, the floor was in need of a hoover, the toilet seat was broken. The smell when we first walked in the pup was of stale (not treated or cleaned) beer as if it had been spilled and not cleaned properly. The sausages for breakfast the next morning were obviously yesterdays but quickly heated up! needless to say we won't be staying there again and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone!
