The lady running the bar asked us where we were heading the next day. We said Warwick castle and then she gave us a 2 for 1 voucher for the castle which saved us £23! good wide screen TV Good parking The shower was too small, not powerful enough and too hot. The temperature control wasnt working properly.

Everybody was very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless clean and the breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty. The Black Horse is also very convenient for the racecourse. The car park is quite small.

The staff were all absolutely wonderful, extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The shower cubicle was quite small although ok to manage with for an overnight stay.

Value for money - single room was basic, but clean & adequate for overnight stop. Evening bar meal & breakfast both good. Location within easy walk of Warwick centre. Pub itself was quite small & "back-street", & decor in need of refreshing. Bedroom was basic in fittings. Advertised wi-fi not working in bedrooms (annexe to pub).

The Shower was inaccessible due to a 12" step down on to a 4" wide tiled step. No hand hold to negotiate the step considering that one would be wet when exiting the Shower. No Shower Gel or Shampoo supplied for the Shower. The door in the Bedroom to the Shower/Toilet did not fully open due to the Bed overlapping the door. Breakfast was minimal and greasy. Evening meals were basic Pub Grub and over priced.

This local pub is ideal if you want inexpensive accommodation. The rooms are basic but clean. The staff and owner are v friendly - you will get a warm welcome. The breakfast is generous - full English - and limited healthier options are available. Breakfast can be dominated by a huge TV - it is a pub! For an inexpensive stay in Warwick it is recommended but don't expect any frills. It is not the most attractive accommodation. It is what it is - a local pub.

A warm friendly atmosphere, we were made very welcome and all our needs were catered for. The staff were extremely helpful and made the stay enjoyable. The rooms were okay, clean and tidy, could do with a spruce up on the decorating but otherwise great. The food for was excellent.
