Relaxing

I really like the atmosphere and the food was excellent.

The only downside was that ground floor single room was very small and cramped and the significant movement noise from room above.

Country pub feel. Good food and real ales.

The rustic old world features of this old inn were a great attraction and it was pleasing to see that the introduction of modern facilities had not detracted from the overall character. The food and service were excellent and made our stay a very well worthwhile expierence.

We liked everything about the black horse inn. We felt really comfortable and at home there. The food was wonderful, local ale went down a treat and all of the staff were really friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay there again if we go to that area and would have no hesitation recommending to friends.

Room heating not on when arrived-cold weekend- on sunday morning went to read papers in lounge which was cold and fire not lit until after 12- expecting excellent breakfast, but ingredients seem to be value products and not locally sourced- had better value bread from tesco- no one made up the room on the sunday morning even though we were out of the room for much of the morning/afternoon- overall a disappointing stay and not worth the premium price paid and regret not going to the cheaper Holiday Inn down the road where our friends were staying

We were staying at The Black Horse Inn in order to attend a family party for my dad's birthday/New Year. Most of the organisation was done by my mum, but I spoke to Jane by email to arrange wine during the meal and fizz for midnight and she was very helpful. The party was perfect: the room was arranged beautifully, with plenty of space for the musicians and for dancing, the bar staff and service staff were very friendly - and very helpful with the recorded music too. The food was very tasty, and the wine was served exactly as I'd requested. The rooms were lovely - full of character, with luxury bathrooms including very nice toiletries. The bed was very comfortable. The food at breakfast was also excellent, and the service was very good considering they were a little short staffed (due to illness).

Had to cross open courtyard to get to room and let yourself into hotel once bar closed. Not 24 hour reception.

Great bar staff. Top food. Fantastic room. That good we stayed another night!

Restaurant manager somewhat lacking in humour!

We came to the area to be near haworth. It was a wonderful, pleasant suprise after a depressing journey. The owners and staff were very helpful and kind. The meals were beautifully prepared served and a pleasure to eat. The room we had was neat and comfortable. I have been all over the world and stayed at many hotels and this experience was the best of it's kind.a very enjoyable weekend experience.

The room was very well equipped and comfortable.

I have stayed here often. The food is excellent, the staff friendly, and the accommodation fine. I cannot recommend it highly enough
