The location was perfect, rooms are lovely and comfortable and feels like home. Food & service is excellent, in fact I cannot fault this B&B at all, love it.
Wow factor bathroom, fabulous breakfast, and exceptional service from Jane , front of house representative throughout our stay, made us so welcome, and ensured we had everything we needed to guarantee a great mini break.
Arrived Sunday evening after long drive, to be advised last orders for dinner was 18.30pm, with no alternative dining venue in village. Would have been nice if a later menu available for residents.
Tracy Coventry, could not fault anything and the room and food were excellent
Sumptuous pillows, very tasty breakfast, lots of space
Bather filler in the ceiling drips boiling hot water on you while relaxing!
Food was great. Lovely Pub. Room was amazing. Staff great. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely return. Manager Leanne was wonderful during out stay.
Absolutely Nothing. If staying at the caviar room, watch your head on the beam entering room.
Totally perfect in every way! :)
The staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome as soon as our bags entered the building. The evening meal was superb, flavour and substance with a very tempting menu made dinner a delight. We were not rushed even though the restaurant was full, and had a wonderful leisurely meal. The room was very pretty and tastefully done - fresh milk for the tea and coffee, great attention to detail. It was a overnight stop for us on our way south, we will return again, and hopefully stay longer. Thank you to Jane who made us feel especially welcome!
There is nothing to dislike!!!!!
My initially impressions were very good, the pub alone is delightful, serving up fabulous food with a little bit of something for all tastes. Our room was spectacularly designed bringing times past to life in the present day with such beautiful charm and trust me your comfort is most definitely not compromised when it comes to the bed - simply Devine not to mention the tempur cushion ... zzz
Unfortunately, the security alarm on the pub went off at 3am on the second night of our three night stay and there was little information in the room file as to what to do in such an event as there is no one on site outside of normal pub hours. So to that end I would like to forward a recommendation for the security policy to be reviewed and most importantly be communicated effectively to customers staying overnight. This is the only reason I gave 'quality of sleep' : fair
Everything about this pub/restaurant/hotel is absolutely great. The food is excellent, the rooms are beautiful, well furnished with lovely attention to detail. The staff are great and nothing is too much trouble. Located in a beautiful village just off the M25/M40/A40. I will certainly be making this a regular booking :-)
Nothing! It was all great and far better service and quality than the bigger chains.
The four poster bed was amazing and very comfortable. A bathroom you never want to leave with a fantastic bath and shower . The staff are very friendly and welcoming . Very laid back and relaxing atmosphere.
All of the extra little touches. Clarins in the bathroom, the decor of the bathroom and bedroom. the big bed ! the huge bathroom fresh milk in the mini bar. coffee machine, beautiful glasss in the bedroom memory foam pillows ! water coming out of the ceiling to fill the bath, how cool was that ! :)
you havent quite mastered your mojitos but to be fair, it was late and you don't offer a cocktail menu.
Everything. Tasteful refurbishment of rooms with quality fittings throughout, and still retaining the period characteristics and charm. Great stay for us, even down to the choice of music in bar.
Bathroom spotless Waiting Staff friendly and helpful especially one of the waitresses
Arriving in a temperature of 28C to find a fur runner on the bed Promised milk for coffee machine - didn't arrive. Breakfast - no fruit - door steps for toast -no offer of cereals - one cup of coffee only offered - I had asked for a pot of coffee - (especially as non in bedroom) toast and bacon all piled on one plate - and a used jar of strawberry jam presented with a jar of marmalade. Did not touch the jam. If this is five star I would have expected the five star service and food - I have been in better three star hotels. With a better choice of food etc.
Private room without the "tired" hotel glitz. As a frequent business traveler, it was great to have a place where people leave you alone without the overkill on fake customer service. It was clean, modern with a homey feel.
The process for "checking in" and "checking out" was not really clear.
The sumptuous room, gorgeous food and friendly staff.
Very comfortable bed and pillows
Low bathroom ceiling
Set in beautiful village. Very interesting building and bedroom with luxurious bathroom and cosmetics. Very clean . Good food and parking. Very attentive service but provided in a calm and charming manner. The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and the best croissants, U.K. side of the Channel!
Excellent accommodation, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Room was very well presented with some nice touches.
Hard to fault - only comment that prices for evening meal were a little steep.
This independent run pub has two superior guest rooms. The decor is tasteful and understated but the attention to detail makes the whole stay very special. Amazing four poster bed, deep pile carpet, beautiful glasses for the wine from the honesty bar, plus a bathroom to die for with complimentary Clarins products. Friendly and attentive staff too. I can't fault it.
Slight noise from the bar if you want an early night but otherwise no faults.
Excellent staff who were attentive and helpful. Rooms were quirky and very well presented. Made a great change from the usual run of the mill type of décor. Good food and a nice atmosphere in the bar area. We would definitely go again when we next use Heathrow.
The car park is a little narrow and it can be difficult to get in and out.
Great bedroom decor and funky bathroom.
Lovely location, attractive buidling. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great food.
Great location and a wonderful ambience.
Very friendly staff, extremely comfortable bed, and excellent full English breakfast
Location.Evening meal was xcellent. Room was large & very clean.Good nights sleep.
Unfortunately staff do not stay in the premises overnight. We could not access breakfast until the manager arrived @ 8.50.This is very late hence we had to leave by 9am & so us and an american couple had to go without breakfast. The manager did not seem bothered that he was late.If we had known in advance that breakfast was not available till 8.30 we would not have stayed ther
