The staff were wonderful. They went out of their way to accommodate us--making helpful suggestions about getting around and things to do and see. They greeted us warmly.
A bit pricey. But it's London! We thought it was worth it.
-Location: close to almost everything in central London (shopping), oxford street, Piccadilly Circus, and direct access to public transport -Cleanness: Room, towels, and everything were clean -Furniture & Facility: was good and acceptable; my family liked it
-Mobility Access: they have the worst mobility access; as we had a baby trolley which i needed to carry up through stairs with baby on every time -Small Room: considering the money value -Pluming: We had a problem with water where when opening cold water; hot water comes out; they have fixed but still coming up once and a while Food: the in-house dinning menu was not so good
Great hotel & location
Lovely elegant hotel, spotlessly clean, room was nice. Staff friendly, everything worked as it should.
Bed was way too soft and narrow. Could not find a position that would allow me to have a straight back. Quality of sleep was hence very low for me. If you like soft beds, no problem though.
Stayed at hotel for one night, very comfortable stay and location was perfect for visiting all the sights. Will stay here again
Beautiful building, location good for UG, buses, theatres, British Museum and a very good Indian restaurant. Room very quiet and air conditioned.
Breakfast expensive. The Architect's portrait (Sir Edwin Lutyens) is poorly located behind the coffee machine. It deserves greater prominence!
The smell when you walked into the hotel was divine! Staff were welcoming and helpful. A well thought out room with everything you could need as well as little extras e.g. The nespresso machine was a hit! Excellent location, 2 minutes from Tottenham Court Tube. Luxury at affordable price, I paid £399 for 2 nights.
the hotel and staff were excellent. The room was clean and of a high standard. The chocolates on the pillow were very good!
Room was very hot, possibly being on the 7th floor. This meant we needed to keep the air conditioning on all night - not a problem but a shame it was necessary.
Lobby is nice
I had booked a Deluxe room for over 900 € (3nights) thinking I was going to have a great time... Once I got to the hotel, the room was tiny and the bed was even smaller... But worst thing was the constant noise coming out from a motor that ran all night long next to my year... I ask to move but nothing, I lindl ask to have a small discount because of the inconvenience but nothing... I often travel and use beautiful facilities! This one is absolutely over rated, will never go back! E.
The room was clean, comfortable and more spacious than many hotel rooms in London. The staff were excellent and helpful. The location is perfect for all central London explorations and a short walk from two underground stations. I look forward to staying again on my next trip. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but went to one of the many nearby cafe's that serve breakfast which can be a cheaper and more flexible option.
There were no dislikes as such, but we did have to hunt to find the bar for a late night drink - eventually found it down two flights of stairs. Shame it isn't a ground floor, off the lobby type of bar, which would have a better atmosphere. This is too out of the way and therefore too quiet.
The atmosphere - reading papers in the busy lobby, sipping wine in the garden terace, feeling welcome.
Very close to all amenities. Cosy and quiet hotel, lovely to come back too after the hussle and busses of the city!
No negatives at all!
very good location; clean and large enough room (superior double room) with good amenities; nice and welcoming lobby
pricey breakfast; key cards were difficult to use; a key card was not needed to take the lifts to the rooms - felt unsafe; wall-to-wall carpeting
Fantastic room, Great staff and amazing breakfast. What more do you need?!
Quiet location in central London; very close to the Dominion Theatre. Friendly and helpful staff, who kindly served us a superb after-show dinner even though the restaurant was on the verge of closing.
The mattress was somewhat soft
Full services hotel, friendly helpful staff. Quiet, comfortable room with good bed. Located in a quiet side street near British Museum and a short walk to shops and theatre district. Prices are fair for location and quality of the hotel.
Location - close as can be to the center of London but off set enough that in a peaceful area Rooms - Comfort was second to none. Best nights sleep in a hotel I've ever had and as someone who spends a lot of their life staying in hotels that is something I never thought I would write in a review Breakfast - Freshly prepared cooked breakfast that was to die for Parking - although not linked in any way to this hotel, Bloomsbury Square car park is about 400m away and if pre-booked online can be as low as £25 for 24hrs
Room well equipped (iron, coffee machine, umbrella). High speed WiFi.
Bathroom too small for comfort. Missed knobs or rails to hang towels on.
Location is very good, and the staff were very helpful. It's good value for money for Central London.
The bar/restaurant is a bit pokey, and our room faced into a central atrium with a glass ceiling and so was quite airless and stuffy.I would request another type of room next time.
The location is excellent! We thought that our room and the lobby had great atmosphere and character and were very comfortable. The staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We will be staying here again in the future!
Staff was extremely helpful especially the concierges.
Only negative was that rooms were on the small size for the money. They were decorated nicely though.
Comfort of bed, front of house service, size of room
The desk personnel, smiling and friendly yet very professional. The beautiful suite. The position: central, but very calm.
Convenient location Friendly staff Quiet room Attractive decor Comfortable beds
Very limited food choice for late dining
The staff were friendly but could have been a bit better trained.
The showers are the worst I have experienced in years. All that came out was a slow and very weak trickle of tepid water. Appalling! I would never stay here again. The food was poor as well, overpriced and poor quality. Room was basic. Toiletries cheap and nasty. Not a good experience at all.
