The Blue Bell Hotel  

The whole experience was great. The staff were lovely and polite and helpful and the room was great, it was clean and comfy and definitely value for money. If I was ever in the Middlesbrough area again I would definitely stay there again.

Hotel convenient and easy to reach. Plenty of parking.

Pillows were excellent. Excellent breakfast, waitress excellent

Cigarette smoke in corridor. Would of helped to find hotel if street number given, rang hotel and receptionist wasnt helpful.

Location was ideal for my visit

The bedrooms were simple but well decorated and had everything one needed for a good nights rest. There was also a small flat screen TV as well as Tea and Coffee making facilities and a lift. Hotel bedrooms on three floors. Purposely built hotel bedroom block and large car park. Staff could not have been more helpful. There was also a bar and a restaurant with a carvery on the Sunday, but it finishes at 18:00 hours.

There is no possibility for food after 18:00 hrs on a Sunday. So if you arrive in the early evening you cannot eat till the next day as the hotel is not surrounded by eating places as far as I could see.

Friendly staff, and clean rooms

Completely understaffed at breakfast time with one young man having to serve a full room of guests. Poor lad was run ragged and couldn't keep up with demands for breakfast, tea, coffee, juice etc. Coffee was awful and had to wait ages for fresh tea.

Had a bar meal, very tasty, hot and though we had been told there was a 25 minute wait for meals it was served well within that time. Staff very friendly.

Our rooms were a little too hot during the night. However in cold wintery weather this would be a welcome thing :-)

Stayed after Bungee Jump off Transporter Bridge!!!!! Great value for money room and Breakfast, cooked breakfast grilled so not greasy, large portion, friendly efficient staff Middlesbrough is very friendly. North Yorkshire on door step, stunning scenery, popped to Whitby.....Fab Captain Cooke Ship Ride (Only £3) eat great fish and chips (crispy batter yummy)...Journey home via York...Stunning....and Bettys Fab xx

Have stayed here before - good location for us to visit family. Clean room and very friendly staff.

went for meal in bar had to wait around 20mins as function on when it did finally arrive couldn't eat it chips had been reheated chicken must have been heated up in microwave and peas were like bullets would not recommend bar meal

Room smelt of smoke so much we had to sleep with window open and it was -2

Staff were helpful and hotel standard was good. Having the pub attached was a good bonus.

We had a double room which had 2 single beds pushed together of quite uneven heights. We only stayed one night but found this annoying for a good night sleep. Might as well just been in 2 single beds, and that's not what we booked.

Reception and bar staff were very helpful. Location was handy for travel.

Breakfast staff were not courteous and it was not clear anywhere about how breakfast was operated in the hotel. Took ages to be served when there were only two people sat.

Comfortable, great value for money, pub at the front of the hotel has 4 or 5 TV's with the football on every night !! (essential for regular travelers like me). Great Wireless Network Connection as well.

Difficult to find anything not to like. The only criticism I could level against the hotel is the fact that breakfast doesn't start until 07:00

value for money, had a bathroom in our room. food was very nice and the bar was very good on price.

the fact that it had stains on the carpet and paint chips of the walls the tv was very small you could only sit in one place to see it. didn't like the fact we couldn't order food to our room even though we had a phone and menue in our room.

Maybe someone could of gritted the front entrance, covered in snowy ice, the door handle to the room was difficult to use to get

Pub food gorg, cheap too

The beds could be abit more bigger, apart from that everything was brill.
