Building Friendliness of staff
Lovely Hotel/ Inn , lovely location. Originally booked for one night - then arrange to stay for two. Free access to the Local 'Castle ' gardens an extra treat.
The Boars head seemed to be the only option (in walking distance) for evening food. (Maybe we missed something?) . This was great for just two evenings . Might feel limiting for a longer stay .
comfy bed lovely dinner eggs Florentine for breakfast nice mugs in room boar shaped chocolate on pillow
bathroom paint and grouting could do with some TLC
Evening menu limited choice
Really nice hotel in fantastic setting serving freshly prepared food (from the castles own gardens) and local real ales. The staff are friendly, personable and communicative, and the atmosphere relaxed and unhurried. We just enjoyed being back after 10 years
Mattress far too hard....
The very friendly welcome and excellent breakfast.
comfortable atmospheric accommodation in a lovely setting - excellent
it was all good
The friendliness of the staff, The room. The dinner and breakfast. The location.
Location and ambiance.
Dinner in restaurant a little disappointing in terms of food selection and service but at breakfast both were very good.
Staff Comfortable Breakfast
Food and service
Food was excellent Room exceptionally clean and had nice touches
friendly staff, always had a smile and nothing was too much trouble. excellent food and good beer.
nothing except the weather on sunday, poured with rain all day!!!
Excellent for Weddings. Beautiful grounds in castle. Good tea Shop. Ideal for walking.
A friend & I were travelling north with my dog. I randomly picked The Boar's Head on line. What a find! A beautiful village & wonderful accommodation. My Labrador was provided with her own bed & biscuits on arrival! (Which of course she ate straight away!) Such a lovely gesture. Everyone was so friendly. We had our evening meal there & breakfast & the food was very good. I would certainly recommend The Boar's Head in Ripley, wish I could have stayed longer & will definitely be back - God willing.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Surrounding scenery,walks and castle.
Poor very hard mattress, tiny shower cubicle built for kids, lack of drawers and wardrobe space, meals do not come with vegetables or sometimes potatoes.Put in annexe house which is of poor quality and not superior as stated at £149.00!!!!!!
Atmosphere so good, staff helpful. Would come back for pleasure.
Situation , food, staff everything
Beautifully decorated room Very comfortable beds Great breakfast
The friendliness of the staff and the overall ambiance. The historic connections particularly the lithographs in our bedroom.
Too much salad in the Hors d'euvres considering the price. The mould at the rear of the shower, an easily rectified problem. A dinner/bed and breakfast package availability.
The Boars Head, is a great location, large comfy quiet room. Beautiful grounds. A short drive from the lovely city of Harrogate. Would stay there again if in the area.
The wifi, didn't reach along the corridor to our room, so we had to stand on the landing to get a signal, but a small problem.
Accomodation comfortable, great breakfast and breakfast staff were excellent.great location and would highly recommend the tour of the castle and gardens
Carpets and upholstery in the public lounges were filthy and in need of a really good clean and updating.food in the bar was a bit on the pricey side having regard to the portion size.one of the bar staff seemed to lack the capacity to smile.
Stunning location, beautiful building with character Friendly and helpful staff clean, comfortable rooms
