Stayed here the day after our wedding and we are already looking fwd to going back every year for our anniversary. Situated right on the river with nice views and a big option of seating (outside terrace/outside garden/inside pub area/fire place area/restaurant area). This place does great food and the wines and coffees are excellent. We stayed in a room with a massive balcony overlooking the river. It was a great area to open our wedding cards an have a few drinks before going down to the restaurant for dinner. The 5 minute drive into bath city centre is hassle free.
Location. River view. Good food.
One night bar closed at 10.55pm without prior warning to allow us a final drink. We only arrived back at the bar at 10.30pm and would have liked a second drink. When I went to bar at 10.55pm I was informed that he bar had now closed we were seated near to bar and should have been d bar was closing and therefore given the chance for a second drink.
Door to toilet area in room could be made more private
The setting next to the river. The character of the pub/hotel.
The staff were excellent. This was a former Boat House (Skulling) and has been converted to a fabulous hotel B&B.
Food was very good
I liked the park and ride being so close so you didn't have to drive in to Bath .I liked the fact the hotel was small and we had a balcony which looked over the river,a the food in the restaurant was fab .
The weather it rained all weekend.
The location was great. A very picturesque spot, the rowers on the river, a lovely morning view and friendly staff in a really charming place. So glad we found this place.
Next door to park and ride station, convenient location for tours of Stonehenge and Cotswold.
The Boathouse was in a peaceful setting a beautiful location with its own car park and handily situated next door to a park and ride! Friendly helpful staff, good food and excellent accommodation .
The only negative I have is that there could have been more choice of food on the menu!
We liked all aspects of the Hotel including the resaurant. Our rooms were first class, roomy and with excellent facilities. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, both in the hotel and those serving in the restaurant. All in all we all really enjoyed our stay in the Boathouse.
We thought all aspects of our stay were first rate so we have no aspects we did not like to report
Staff were young, enthusiastic, helpful, and eager to please. The location is perfect for a quiet few days with only a short drive to main roads to Bath, Bristol and region. The food was good and the bar and restuarant atmosphere was excellent. Home from home was a comment made by one of our group.
View over river from room balcony
Loved the bedrooms huge balcony overlooking the river. The staff were lovely.
Just missing the little touches that make a hotel special. The entrance to the hotel needs work. It really needs a proper reception desk. First impressions are not good. We thought we were coming in the back door.
I enjoyed everything about my stay at the boathouse inn the staff was helpful and polite the location was lovely and the food was excellent also our room with the balcony was just perfect ,in my booking I mentioned it was our anniversary and on our arrival was pleased to learn they upgraded us free of charge to the superior suite would definitely book again .
The room, the balcony, the location & the breakfast
Clean room, location good about £8 to centre of Bath in a taxi. Plenty of parking. Breakfast choice was good.
Room 7 noisy because of kitchen fans, dryers.
Just the best relaxed stay out of the way on the Avon river. Great location and pub atmosphere
Nothing, everything was great. The best time to relax in a busy schedule.
food quality was poor
A peaceful and pleasant location. Polite and attentive staff. A good sized and well equipped ensuite room. Excellent breakfast as well as good restaurant meals.
The mattress was a little too hard for our liking.
this was a good place to stay for us because the park and ride was very close so we could get into Bath central very easily
Location Atmosphere Free Breakfast
The bed was lumpy Bathroom was not clean Main area had doors left open and was cold
Location fab, food good, surroundings nice too, and great bus service back & Forth to bath.
Service seemed to be short staffed, especially at breakfast two out of the three mornings also had to sit at tables that were not cleared after last guess. There is only nine rooms.
The room was great
Some surfaces both in the bathroom the breakfast room have proved difficult to remove stains.
The location was excellent - views of the river and a park and ride directly into the City centre.
Personally found some of the meals expensive.
