As other reviewers have said, if you are looking for peace and quiet, this is not the location for it.
The window was broken in our hotel room and it was incredibly loud, there was also a green safety light on all night above the bed which cant be turned off. We had to wrap a blanket around the light and ask for ear plugs at 1:30 in the morning. I am not a picky person but this hotel is extremely overpriced and I really wouldn't recommend staying here.
heated floor in bathroom graciously sized room - staff were helpful in providing us with all our needs and were always with a smile. Fantastic location for any sojourn into Oxford.
Central location. Modern decor. Above a Jamie's Italian restaurant. Clean with en suite. Tea and coffee making facilities.
Small shower room with very small sink. Secondary double glazing didn't block out cold or noisy people on street below. Layout needs reconfiguration as couldn't get into wardrobe easily as it was too close to bed whereas a lot of space by dressing table. Limited bathroom facilties such as face cloth.
Very Good location A clean room Nice warm bathroom floor
How this is classed as a 5 star is beyond me. It is about the standard of a Premier Inn. No facilities whatsoever. Cost me £31.50 to park for 24 hours. No reception - just a counter at the top of the stairs. No lift. No offer to help with bags, Staff did not know we had requested a late checkout and tried to charge me extra. We booked a superior room - it was very small. Minimum of everything in the room such as 1 bar of soap. 1 shampoo 1 shower gel.
The hotel was in a great location. The hotel was very clean and there was complimentary toiletries and plenty of clean towels. The staff were very helpful and provided us with an iron and ironing board straightaway when we asked. The hotel itself was very clean and the staff were cleaning on the sunday morning when we left.
Being woken at 3.30am by party goers outside. You could smell the food being cooked from Jamie oliver's restaurant downstairs in our room! The letter we were given when we arrived stated the room had a phone and we could call 124 for reception but the room had no phone. Some of the light didn't work and the pressure in the shower was very intermittent. The room was very small and the window only stayed open when propped with an air freshner!
Perfect site, clean and pleasant room. In general happy with the stay and we didn't complain. City life likely to be a bit noisy at weekend.
Small room with wonky broken double glazing on windows and broken hangers, couldn't hang things up. A bit noisy, ear plugs provided.
Friendly staff, clean modern hotel, hotel was central!
Noise at 5am... I think it was other resident as surely it can't have been staff!
The overwhelming smell of air freshener.
Location and friendliness.
Noise from street (which is inevitable given its city centre location).
Decor was fine Plenty of hot water Nice soap shower gel V helpful staff
Room was tiny Room was on to street which was v noisy til 1am Room was v small with v small single bed No breakfast facility so not sure how this can be called a hotel
-Congenial staff- Helene and others were very helpful -Appropriately located near Bus Station and market place...10 minutes' walk to my conference location.
Knowing that the hotel was central we expected some noise on Friday and Saturday nights. Sadly, having asked for a room that faced the rear & arriving to be given a different room facing front that was different to the one requested & confirmed over the phone would affect where we choose to stay on our return to Oxford.
Location is great for shops, buses, theatres and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and always responded quickly to any requests
Needs better double glazing we were woken by the rubbish collection in the street outside.
an excellent location, nice staff, clean rooms

Real rating: 2 or 3 stars Very small No lobby No restaurant

Central location Comfortable bed Underfloor heating in bathroom Friendly staff
Central position. Friendly. Minimal formalities.
Noisy - opposite night club and bus stop.
Position. Staff member helpful
Certainly was not a five star hotel.
Clean, warm and spacious room.
1)Room No.1 Very noisy, opposite night club entrance! 2)Hotel has no restaurant. 3)No continental breakfast offered in room!
Great location. Our son is studying at Oxford, and we were only a 10 minute walk from his college. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and clean.
You can hear the people in the streets until the wee hours of the morning.
