Location, fixtures, design.
Room small. Bed single. Aircon extremely poor , actually not working.
Location Little extras -hot chocolate, biscuit, bottle of water, nice soap / shower gel. Air con
We wanted to be in the heart of Oxford and this hotel was perfect for us. The service was great and the room as very nice.
Excellent location and very nice room
For the price, there should be some form of breakfast facility
The hotel was central so we could pop back if we wanted to while sightseeing. The room was of a good size and the bathroom was nice.
We didn't sleep at all well. The street was noisy with revellers until around 4.30am.
comfy bed, refreshments hot and cold in room, spotless, hot and powerful shower, central location, very helpful and friendly staff
Clean, comfortable beds. Simple decor. Very central location near pretty much everything in Oxford.
No parking and small noisy rooms
Lovely clean room with modern decor.
The decor, the cleanliness, the welcoming staff.
The floor of the bathroom seemed to be heated, in very hot July of all times-- . A little noise from the street, late evening and then trucks in early morning. But certainly not the worst I've ever heard in city hotels.
Going to a wedding But no electric in room to get ready for wedding Shower hair dryer etc Bit stressful
The Staff were very friendly and helpful
The Five-star rating is very misleading. It was not at all what I expected. It was very expensive for just a room. One could not sleep because it is directly opposite a noisy nightclub with youngsters drinking on the street all night.
Location, facilities, decor. Very comfortable bed.
The noise from what I think must have been a huge aircon unit (or something similar) from an adjacent building. It was going all the time, but during the night it was particularly intrusive, making for a sleepless night.
Very good location. It's in the middle of the city and very near the coach station.
There is no elevator so if you have heavy baggages you will have to carry them up the steep staircase. Also, the air con is installed above your bedside so the cold air blows right on your head at night.
Jamie Oliver's Italian restaurant downstairs.
Super location - 2 minutes from buss connections to London. Next door to the Jamie Oliver Italian restaurant. (Excellent food). In the middle of fine dining & shopping.
Hmm... Nothing really.
It was dirty, noisy and cramped with a small uncomfortable bed and incredible noise coming in from the street.
There were tea/coffee making facilities in room. Clean.
It's not a hotel, tiny reception area, narrow hallway leading to rooms. Rooms at front v noisy at night due to its location on a busy street with bars etc. No lift, no one helped with bags. Wifi poor steam, kept dropping out. V noisy, inefficient air con. Only one hard pillow in room. I paid £125 for a v small single room for 1 night.
Access to railway station.
Small room, expensive
- credit card surcharge was refunded when we protested that card was charged even before we arrived - tea and coffee in room - location near rail and bus station - served our purpose for logistics but would not return for pleasure
- size of bathroom, no place to put a makeup bag - room also very small - no lift - no lobby or common area to sit in - surcharges for credit cards, and our card was charged before we arrived - room looked onto some sort of garbage depot
clean, modern room. Everything worked OK.
The location is great: right where you need to be. It is sometimes a little noisy in the street, but the windows close well and the airco works perfectly The reception personnel is very friendly The bathroom is new and there is a lot of very hot water in the shower
There are only rooms and a reception, so no further facilities; not even a vending machine for example There is no elevator. Not a problem for me, but the stairs are somewhat steep
It simply did meet expectations. It was promoted as a 5star, boutique hotel but in reality it was low-grade motel at best. Simply not value for money.
