The triple room was huge, the beds extremely comfortable, the staff are lovely. I would stay here again!
There's no lift in the hotel
Everything was spot on, would definately recommed to family and friends.
Loud music literally shaking the room, not sound proof at all and we left and went home with a full refund. Ramada all the way for us in future.
Excellent location. Near to shops and theatre . Breakfast was delicious.
Unfortunately our room was very near a refrigeration unit so there was a constant humming throughout the night. We were disturbed by other guests late at night . However room was very economical in price so would visit The Bold again but would avoid room 8
Lovely hotel big rooms with great big windows, bed was so comfortable slept so well
Liked the location of this hotel, it is central for everything. Very clean and noticed nice smell as soon as we entered our room. There were some negatives which I have noted, but overall I would stay in the Bold Hotel again, especially if we are given a refurbished room on our next visit.
Room including bathroom was very dated, especially the wallpaper, seems to be in a time warp from the 1980s. Some damp on walls. Definitely requires a refurbishment. We were located at the front of the hotel so there was some noise from traffic and pelican lights situated outside our window.
Food was high quality and lots of variety. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and the location was superb for being near the centre We will be coming again
Not too bad for the money ,
Room was large clean and the hotel was a great location
Was a bit noisy late on add is on the main street
Good location, Nice staff Very friendley Nice spacious room well furnished good shower cumfy bed good food and plenty of it Nice drinks very good breaksfast!! Will be going again its great for seafront & shops
Car Parking very limited
Staff were always ready to help and always presented a friendly face. Nice location for the hotel and one of the most competitive prices available at that time.
No lift available but this didn't cause a problem, stairs are wide with rails on either side.
Nicely decorated and furnished. Staff friendly. Comfortable nice sized room with large bathroom. Excellent location for everything
Good location close to restaurants and town facilities. Comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean. Good breakfast Reasonable value for money
Offhand and abrupt manner of the receptionist on arrival. We stayed here before and found the staff to be very friendly - perhaps an off day!. Very small room with limited clothes storage - luckily we were only staying 1 night. The bathroom was very cramped with little space to keep toiletries or bend down without hitting the walls. It gave the impression that they had tried to cram a double room into a space designed for a single room Shower pressure poor - little more than a trickle.
Traffic noise from outside main road.
The informal, relaxed atmoshere
Beyond the Bold's control but the council bin wagon emptying bins outside room window at 5am!!!
The shower did not work also the hair dryer did not work.
It is within 5 minutes walk to the Southport Convention Centre where I was attending a conference. I had booked a single room and expected something no bigger than a broom cupboard. I was given room 6, a large twin room with a large en-suite bathroom. The room had a large wardrobe and dressing table, very comfortable beds, plenty of storage space, a small television and tea making facilities. The bathroom provided shower gel and shampoo and lovely fluffy towels. The staff are pleasant and helpful - thank you especially to the receptionist on duty when I arrived - very, very patient when I could not use the card to enter my room. Breakfast consisted of fruit and/or juice, cereals and a breakfast cooked to order from the menu. The waitress was very efficient and friendly. On my last evening I met another delegate from the conference and we ate in the Bold bar on the ground floor. The menu has a good choice of food and we can recommend Luigis lasagne and the chicken with mash and fresh vegetables. I spend a lot of time in hotels so can be quite critical. I have been very impressed with the Bold Hotel and hope to stay again in the future.
There was nothing I didn't like.
The food was good and the location was good for train station and convention centre
Hot water Staff helpful. Room (5) was a good size and the bed was comfortable.
First room (24) allocated was very noisy. We think it came from a venting system just outside the window. Second room was small and bed lumpy.
noise from rooms above
choice of food
