Relaxed atmosphere, warm, friendly, good food, large room. Feeling unwelcome in the bar at 22.50 on a Friday night. Overheard comment "don,t encourage them to stay, turn the music off" |

The bedroom and en suite were lovely. The breakfasts were excellent, full English or smoked haddock and as much cereal, fruit and pastries as you could eat. That was followed by toast and their own beautiful home-made marmalade. Dinner was an excellent 5-course affair very nicely cooked and well presented by the friendly staff. Excellent location at the southern end of Derwent Water. A great walking area giving the opportunity to view Ospreys on the nest and in the air before they fly south for their winter hoidays. |

Location My wife had the pan fried fish for dinner and it looked too white to have been pan fried. She said it reminded her of boarding school boiled fish. Also the vegetables were too hard and we thought, undercooked. |

The location was fine. Parking was good. Staff, although some were very inexperienced were attentive most of the time. I did not have to pay a single supplement as it was a single room. Very small though. The food on the last night had to be returned. Even a well done steak was red in the middle. My room did not have a shaver, electric toothbrush point. however, It was a single room and i did not have to pay a supplement |

The hotel had a welcoming and relaxed feel about it and one immediately felt quite at home. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the refurbished rooms which was delightful. I believe more of the hotel will be refurbished in due course and I look forward to returning. |

I thought it was the perfect place to spend our 20th wedding anniversary. We had not been having a good year, so we wrote wedding vows to say to each other before we went down for dinner. We live 30 miles away so often come for the day. I wish I booked the week! n/a but I wish I had known we could use The Ladore Falls so we could have brought costumes, trunks etc. |

The view from the bedroom window was to die for and the staff were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and lounge area and bar were extremely welcoming after a day out. Unfortunately, the hotel is undergoing mass refurbishment at the moment - some of the rooms have been completed and the one we stayed in had not so looked somewhat tired. But this aside, everywhere was clean and tidy so didnot affect the weekend unduly. |

The staff were courteous and service in the dining room was excellent, the hotel was in a lovely setting and much better than expected for the price. Room was too hot and we could not stand upright in shower over bath due to low ceiling and being tall, but it was not a major problem. |

Main asset is great location. Lovley ambiance of traditional hotel and good, tho' expensive food. A little faded. I believe refurbs have been done but saw no evidence of this. |

The location in the beautiful Borrowdale valley was excellent - near enough for Keswick, Grange, & for a galaxy of wonderful walks. An excursion up to nearby Watendlath is a must. The meals were slightly too "samey" with not enough variety. |

I enjoyed the comfort of the hotel and its location was excellent. The hotel was quite empty most of the time. The clientele present were really really old, I would have preferred a slightly livelier atmophere. |

I thought that the staff were very pleasant and helpful-particulary in the resturant and bar, they helped to create an excellent atmosphere and put the guests at ease-i had a lovely time and would visit again. The location of the hotel provides a fantastic base for setting off on walks etc On our first night we ordered sirloin steaks-proved to be poor quality and gristly. However the food on the second night was of a much better standard. I thought the wallpaper in the room in which we stayed was alittle shabby reducing the luxury feel to our stay however the suite furniture was exceptional |

The room was clean and comfortable Having stayed at the Lodore Falls last time, I was disappointed with the food. The hotel was nearly empty, yet the Lodore was full? |

新しく改装された部屋はごく一部のようです。環境はすばらしいです。近所にガソリンスタンドがないので車で- 行く時は注意が必要です。 フロントおよびレストランのスタッフの横柄な態度には驚きました。残念です。 |
