Friendly staff and room was fresh, clean and warm
Let down by a very uncomfortable bed - (room 11) the mattress sunk so much that you could feel the springs digging into you and prevented having a good sleep. Also only one pillow provided which hardly had any bulk to it
All of it ... The room was like a box ...the tv did not work when I got there .. The light above the so called bed had no bulb ... The fire door was smashed in ... It was cold .... I went 2 the pub so I did not have 2 sit in the room
Could do with Fresher bed linen
Horrible smell. Old and sagging bed. Shower was a dribble. I'm pretty used to roughing it but this is just an unpleasant place to stay.
The b&b was in a good spot for the cricket ground and a lovely little b&b Defo going to be staying here again
Bed was okay comfort wise Room was okay size
Whole building smells of grease from the kitchen Front bedrooms have thin glass on busy road Shared bathrooms not modern or always that clean for distance from city center the price wasn't that cheap had to request a remote for the tv one cup and saucer were dirty in the room key lock was not easy to use Thin curtains
the room was dirty walls were dirty the beds were like something found in the street all scuffed and well worn sink was disgusting carpet was stained a metal cage as a shelf no mention of a shared bathroom and toilet
Room like a cupboard. In an attempt to brighten it up; room had new carpet and paint. Fumes unbearable. Slept on floor outside.
Good location Breakfast excellent quality and value for the money. Very pleasent staff. Will stay again.
friendliness of staff
toilets were not good in function
parking was for free and it was kind of clean if you didn't look too closely. Bus station right next to the hotel and only a 15 minute ride into city centre.
Check in not possible at 12.30 pm (it's not that early, and usually 3* hotels are ok with doing check in a bit earlier). The owner couldn't get any information about buses into the city or any recommendations about restaurants). Everything was very old and run down, the stairs to the room are very narrow, a big person wouldn't even get up to the room. There was no warm water available at 11.00 pm and the shared bathroom had its better times a long time ago. The bed's were very uncomfortable, the mattress must have been very old. I was staying in loads of hostels way cheaper and more comfortable than this 3* hotel for £50 per night / room and shared bathroom!!! I wouldn't recommend staying there.
The man on reception was nice and friendly, the breakfast was very good and value for money.
The thick dust on the bed head and round the edges of the room.
On main bus route for city. Headingley 2 mins away.
Dirty - carpets need hovering (or renewing) Doors & window frames rotting. Communal shower out of use & other shower to compact. Rip off at £34 for bed only.
The bed was comfy and tv worked.
No wifi in room. The room wasn't very clean and the window in my room, room 2 was broken. It seemed dangerous actually and therefore a draft was blowing all night onto my bed. Alongside that I kept getting a waft of cigerette smoke into the room. I don't know if that came from downstairs or from outside through the dodgy window. I was really disappointing with the room as I stay in a lot of B and B and I paid abit more than usual for this room so I was expecting something better. It was extremely noisy from the traffic outside too. Would not recommend this hotel.
The customer service Your own sink in your room Warm room Happy hour drinks 7-8pm Breakfast/continental
No wardrobe or hanging facilities in room, only a door hanger. The drinks menu at the hotel is out of date!
THE RECEPTIONIST WAS VERY POLITE AND HELPFUL.
SHARED BATHROOM. UNCOMFORTABLE BED.
Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast !!
The staff were friendly and helpful and the services were adequate. The internet was good.
A complimentary breakfast would have been nice.
Jay was amazing and helped us with whatever we needed and was good fun to hang out with in the bar.
The deco was slightly outdated but nothing wrong with it.
Close to cricket
Breakfast was the best part of the stay although the hotel charged £3.50 for it. I was under the impression it was part of the room price so the extra cost was a bit of a surprise.
The room I stayed in had a 1/2" gap around the window behind the bed. I stuffed it with toilet paper to block the freezing draft blowing down my neck as I lay in bed. There also was a bright exterior light shining directly into the window which lit up the room all night, and the thin curtain did not help at all. Combined with the loud traffic noise this was not the best night's sleep. The hotel is also in a general run down condition with the bathrooms (down the hall) needing a serious upgrade to worn out facilities. Overall I would not stay here again.
I Liked the friendly helpful staff, the room was quiet and I slept well and for £3.50 you can upgrade your included continental breakfast to a very good, freshly cooked breakfast.
I wasn't so keen on the shared loo and shower, but to be fair I was in a very cheap single room. Sheets were clean but could have been a little newer.
Breakfast was lovely Comfortable bed Quality TV Friendly staff Good value for money Bus stop outside hotel
Quite a fair bit of dust in room Small room Small shower and no bath Shower leaked/dripped during night which woke us up A bag of food in room when we arrived Quite noisy outside during early hours
radiator on in bathroom told them about it but they did nothing had to put wet towel over it in end outside temp was 19 degrees
