parking was for free and it was kind of clean if you didn't look too closely. Bus station right next to the hotel and only a 15 minute ride into city centre.
Check in not possible at 12.30 pm (it's not that early, and usually 3* hotels are ok with doing check in a bit earlier). The owner couldn't get any information about buses into the city or any recommendations about restaurants). Everything was very old and run down, the stairs to the room are very narrow, a big person wouldn't even get up to the room. There was no warm water available at 11.00 pm and the shared bathroom had its better times a long time ago. The bed's were very uncomfortable, the mattress must have been very old. I was staying in loads of hostels way cheaper and more comfortable than this 3* hotel for £50 per night / room and shared bathroom!!! I wouldn't recommend staying there.
The man on reception was nice and friendly, the breakfast was very good and value for money.
The thick dust on the bed head and round the edges of the room.
On main bus route for city. Headingley 2 mins away.
Dirty - carpets need hovering (or renewing) Doors & window frames rotting. Communal shower out of use & other shower to compact. Rip off at £34 for bed only.
The bed was comfy and tv worked.
No wifi in room. The room wasn't very clean and the window in my room, room 2 was broken. It seemed dangerous actually and therefore a draft was blowing all night onto my bed. Alongside that I kept getting a waft of cigerette smoke into the room. I don't know if that came from downstairs or from outside through the dodgy window. I was really disappointing with the room as I stay in a lot of B and B and I paid abit more than usual for this room so I was expecting something better. It was extremely noisy from the traffic outside too. Would not recommend this hotel.
The customer service Your own sink in your room Warm room Happy hour drinks 7-8pm Breakfast/continental
No wardrobe or hanging facilities in room, only a door hanger. The drinks menu at the hotel is out of date!
THE RECEPTIONIST WAS VERY POLITE AND HELPFUL.
SHARED BATHROOM. UNCOMFORTABLE BED.
Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast !!
The staff were friendly and helpful and the services were adequate. The internet was good.
A complimentary breakfast would have been nice.
Jay was amazing and helped us with whatever we needed and was good fun to hang out with in the bar.
The deco was slightly outdated but nothing wrong with it.
Close to cricket
Breakfast was the best part of the stay although the hotel charged £3.50 for it. I was under the impression it was part of the room price so the extra cost was a bit of a surprise.
The room I stayed in had a 1/2" gap around the window behind the bed. I stuffed it with toilet paper to block the freezing draft blowing down my neck as I lay in bed. There also was a bright exterior light shining directly into the window which lit up the room all night, and the thin curtain did not help at all. Combined with the loud traffic noise this was not the best night's sleep. The hotel is also in a general run down condition with the bathrooms (down the hall) needing a serious upgrade to worn out facilities. Overall I would not stay here again.
I Liked the friendly helpful staff, the room was quiet and I slept well and for £3.50 you can upgrade your included continental breakfast to a very good, freshly cooked breakfast.
I wasn't so keen on the shared loo and shower, but to be fair I was in a very cheap single room. Sheets were clean but could have been a little newer.
Breakfast was lovely Comfortable bed Quality TV Friendly staff Good value for money Bus stop outside hotel
Quite a fair bit of dust in room Small room Small shower and no bath Shower leaked/dripped during night which woke us up A bag of food in room when we arrived Quite noisy outside during early hours
radiator on in bathroom told them about it but they did nothing had to put wet towel over it in end outside temp was 19 degrees
Booked to stay for 2 nights ! Checked out after the first night. The rooms an old fashioned an dirty. The shower was broken the emergncy exit alarm kept going off an the walls are paper thin I had Groups of people either side of me I could hear them clearly. I got moved to a different room after complaining that can only be described as a scene from American psycho! The hotel was dirty, untidy an unwelcoming. A complete waste of money.
Underground room - small window with bars. No en-suite. Not cheap either.
The the location is excellent for our trip to drop my daughther off for Headlingley Campus there is lots of eating places with in walking distance of hotel plus supermarket chemist and household store, as well as located next to cricket and Rugby ground.
Sharing the bathroom with other people bathroom door quite noisy there seemed to be a lot of activity all through the night.
It was near my venue. breakfast was good.
Damp patch and small hole in room ceiling. curtain not hung properly
Accessibilty, breakfast, the gentleman at reception on the day of check out.(sorry didn't notice the name)
Room, stairs & having room on 2nd floor in such structure. Aeroplanes are bigger than this.
Excellent value for money, including the excellent full English for just £3.50 extra, and for sports fans interesting memorabilia decorating the corridors!
Arrived back too late to get a parking space in the car park, but onstreet parking worked okay
the staff were great and breakfast ecxellent
carpets all over the bb were dirty and stained. our bedroom carpet and curtains were disgusting and everything covered in dust:(:(
The smashed glass by bar area which the manager couldnt even be assed to clean up !!!!
car park was busy so told tough ,your checking in late 4.45 !!!Reallly, mananger not even helpful !! basement room never been clean ,found socks behind draws , noise all night from people coming in out !! i wouldnt even let my dog sleep in that room !! bookings.com you should be embarrassed !!!!!!!
the breakfast was spot on good value for money although I think the man in the kitchen was run off his feet cooking n clearing tables the man in the office was helpful with the cable and allowed us to change our room
the electric cable that was trailing on the stairs although it was made safer after I mentioned it by running it down the banister and round the fire extinguisher the first room had no light in the bathroom the noise through the paper thin walls was horrendous doors slamming all hours and the couple next door were up talking so loudly at 7am I banged on the wall at 7.30 then we got up because we were wide awake not exactly the break I had anticipated.
Duty manager very good
very run down hotel. I was put off my breakfast by a member of staff that turned up in dirty jeans and shirt with greasy long hair which was not tied back.
