Helpful staff Good Location Dining Room
Lack of cleanliness Faded facilities
Plenty of music memorabilia location 2 min walk into Bournemouth friendly chatty staff
No notice of a party in hotel Shower took ages to heat up
The hotel was right by the sea fantastic the breakfast was fantastic to. The manager was very nice and helpful with our needs. Thank you for a good stay.
The room was ok but in need of refurbishing
The theme of the Hotel was very unique and interesting, it was like staying in a British Hard Rock!!
Creaky bed and bad reception on the TV
Good location to the beach and Bournmouth Square. And bus no.50 (runs between Bournemouth train station and Swanage) is just right outside on the street.
Everything's very old and mouldy-like. Noisy, shower water is very small and unstable, all the bed sheets and towel have a strong detergent smell, insect blood stands on the wall... You can get much better than this in Bournemouth for £60/night!
Good location, friendly staff.
Toilet in my room can be broken anytime.
loved all the posters, spent a lot of time just looking at them all.
in need of a bit of T.L.C. Front looked unkept, inside looked jaded. No plug in the sink in bathroom, taps came off in my hand.
Asked for a quiet room haha, had a party saturday night and didn't tell us and we were in a room above the party so not what we wanted.
Leaving it after two awful nights
Everything was awful the cleanliness, the bed, the staff and the breakfast was terrible even fawlty towers would be appauled we travel alot as im a tattoo artist working the conventions and we have never stayed in anything like it
run down hotel
The location. Music memorabilia on the walls.
Bathroom was damp & mould on walls near ceiling, no guard in plug hole so if anything was dropped in sink it wouldn't be seen again. Sink & shower plug hole blocked. Windows in room wouldn't open due to being sealed. Not good news to an asthmatic! In considerate guests shouting & banging on doors at 2 - 4 in the morning. Poor choice of breakfast.
Rock Memorabilia. Location and price. Free parking
Needs a makeover shower mouldy grout and floor tiles lifting. Carpet threadbear. This was reflected in price as lower than others nearby. Teacups tiny and you have to make your own from 1 kettle?
Uncomfortable bed Lift not working Walls beside bed filthy No cold water in bath Waited ages for breakfast
The price was good The size of our room was good
The bathroom was not so clean and the water was running very slowly. When we checked out there was no staff to see us we had to put the room key through a post box. The car park was over crowded - not enough space to park.
Me and my friends had our weekend ruined by staying at this hotel. The room was poor, the staff were very rude and the breakfast was terrible will not stay here again and won't recommend.
Good place and good location!
an important ticket disappeared in the room during the cleaning.
Despite the fact we cut short our stay, our shock was that the photo on Booking.com showed a clean hotel front and a room, the hotel was a shock to arrive at, a dirty and run down front, and the entry was full of 70's groups and memorabilia. The room was dismal, and dirty. Will never stay there again.
Great location, very close to the beach and within walking distance of the local town.
Our room was on the top floor, and the elevator was out of order so we had to trek up 6 flights of stairs to reach our room. Because of the room's location, we were unable to connect to the wifi, though this is not the case for every room. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, making it difficult to sleep. The breakfast was disgusting, lukewarm and undercooked - don't pay extra for it, we ended up eating elsewhere for most of our stay!
clean sheets plenty of hot water
lift not working shower door falling off cheap coffee
breakfast.. good selection and full English hot /fresh. good location.Staff friendly and helpful.would stay again if in area.
could do with some décor upgrade in bedroom 29 where I stayed but no other complaint.
I did not like anything in the hotel. It was discussting . Very bad smell. I would never go back to this place.
Lift not working. Too many stairs. Lack of parking space. Broke blind. No sink plug. Water too hot. My other family had a disgusting room. Like a hostel. Broken shower, bad smell.
Value for money Great location Themed hotel Bed and breakfast
Some staff were not helpful Not enough space Basic facilities TV didn't work very well, no remote
The shower did not work The room was very small for 3 people The room was dirty and smelled bad Compared to the room my mother, nephew and niece were in ours was shocking. Very overpriced given the quality of everything. Lift not working and my mother struggles with stairs. Parking was limited.
If you like music nostalgia and a lot of old posters to look at on the walls of the hallways then you'll like this. I enjoyed reading them. The location is good and is a reasonably short walk from the pier and the BIC.
The general decor could do with a spruce up. All looks a bit jaded with peeling paint all round the windows. The bar was closed when we came back from the BIC around 10.30 and fancied a drink. I don't think anyone was around. They seem a little understaffed. Breakfast was good when the buffet was served. Not so good when it wasn't. Doubt i'd stay again. No atmosphere and looks a bit delapidated
