Nice staff, great breakfast, solid all round
Jovial staff and clients
It was dirty
The hotel was cheap but full of contractor staff and noisy. Room clean and bed ok but thin walls so hear all the noise from next rooms. Good breakfast.
Too noisy. No parking so used local pay and display.
Very noisy so not recommended if your looking for a long quiet sleep. Not recommended for children either. Good for what we wanted though, close to the music hall and beach.
The breakfast, value for money.
Bathroom vent was rigged into the kitchen vent so when the fan was off the kitchen smells filled the bathroom.
The only thing i liked there was the breakfast.
I had two night stay in the hotel, which is not what it was shown on the pictures when I booked. When I saw the pictures I thought that its really nice hotel, but when I walked in I realised that is better to sleep in car than in that room. the receptionist(female) was drunk, and I heard when she said to the pub customer that there is nice girl in room (number), which I didnt feel secure at the hotel as a woman. I couldnt close the window as there wasnt any handles! It was reported to the receptionist and next day they fixed it. but first night I had to take all the valuable things with me as it very easy access thruu the window. All I want it that other people like me, will be informed before booking in which room excatly they are staying, not showing as the best room picture... Oh and the toilet doors didnt shut so basically when you was in the toilet you was in the room ... the worst hotel I ever been
Position. Close to beach, shops and restaurants
Room on top floor, narrow stairs, poor handrails. Small bedroom, large bathroom but very poor shower - a trickle of hot water. Floors very dirty. Not enough hangers (old fashioned wire hangers, no trouser hangers) in very poorly made wardrobe. 4 pillows but only 2 with pillow cases. Very noisy late at night with people smoking and drinking in street outside.
Shabby room. Had to curtail my 5 nights stay by 2 nights because of impossibility of sleeping due to ludicrously loud karaoke taking place directly under my room. The noise could be heard 75 yards away at the top of the street. My holiday was spoilt because of this. Breakfast poor quality. nasty instant coffee
The staff were always friendly and cheerful very helpful too Food was great Good location for where I had t get too
Carpet in my room hadn't been vacuumed. Noisy neighbours didn't help sleep wise Couldn't get a signal on the tv Wi-Fi was also very erratic Never any parking outside the hotel had to use the public parking which made the visit more expensive
the friendliness and entertainment
location is good.
The bed was dirty, the pillow and duvet had brown stains. The shower did not work. The room is tiny. Everything smelled. The kettle and hair dryer did not work. The bed was extremely hard. It would of been better sleeping on concrete! Would not recommend.
Nice room. Clean and tidy.
Some of my friends rooms had no electric. Some had no facilities to wash. Not given any options for breakfast. Just asked if I wanted a full English. As I don't like tomatoes was a little disappointed that my foos was covered in them
Comfortable bed clean room and a lovely breakfast
We were offered Brentwood Hotel after a previous booking we made was unfortunately cancelled at short notice. Before confirming this booking we were told of karaoke in the hotel on Saturday nights from 9.30pm until midnight. This we accepted but on arrival there appeared to be a fancy dress birthday party with a live band which was extremely loud, so much so it was very plain to hear down the end of the road. The bar staff couldn’t hear what I was ordering, so I had to point in the direction of the drinks we wanted, the only saving grace was that the music did stop at midnight. We were given the key to number 23 and told to go up the stairs, this consisted of several narrow corridors, turns through doors and up a few flights of stairs. There were no signs to assist you where to go when returning to the bar, the only way you could be sure you were going in the right direction was that the music got louder the nearer you got to reception. The bedroom was very small and shabby; the toilet seat was broken; the radio/clock came apart when I picked it up to set the time; somebody’s hairdryer accessory was on the bedside cabinet; the spare pillows in the wardrobe had no pillow cases on; didn't have a mattress cover on the bed just a valence over instead of a sheet; cigarettes had been stubbed out on the plastic windowsill, (fortunately the room didn’t smell of smoke); the shower was pretty useless and kept going hot and cold, the bathroom although nicely decorated was very cramped and would have benefited with having a shower cubicle instead of a bath as well. Couldn't bring ourselves to use the mugs for tea and coffee in the morning. Managed to get to sleep however was woken at 1.
Friendly staff, good value and quality bar food, good breakfast . Bedrooms have everything you need. Good entertainment in bar Overall good value
Bar can be a bit noisy if you want early night. Rooms basic but ok
All good to excellent. This is the second time we have used the hotel and we enjoyed our stay on both occasions. Many thanks to you all. Kind regards. Ray & Rebecca.
No fridge. Lack of power in the shower. Minor details.

We were made very welcome from day one both by the staff and management will stay again regards Roy & Seeta
staff were very friendly, breakfast in morning was good, down stairs seemed very clean.
bedrooms were very out dated and did not feel comfortable, walls very thin, saniflows very noisy, bed linen outdated but clean
