I was a little nervous, after having booking and then reading feedback from others that had stayed, so was expecting the worst! On arrival, the Brentwood is a nice looking hotel. If you wanted to be picky you could say hotel needs some tlc, but its a charming hotel, locals are lively and friendly. I absolutely loved the Elvis breakfast room and the Elvis bar area! Am a huge fan of Elvis, some may find this tacky but not for me. Room was basic but overall clean. Carpets could do with a good clean as they did look a little grubby, other than that, room covered all basics, was warm, plenty of blankets, tv, tea and coffee, towels and soap provided. Breakfast was lovely, nothing to fault there at all. Parking is a bit of a problem, I had to park my car a street down and bring my luggage through, however space was made for my partner's newly bought motorbike in the service area which was very helpful and generous. Nothing I disliked about the Brentwood at all. For those wanting a peaceful stay, it may not suit you as music from the bar can be very loud, even on top floor of hotel.

I was disappointed with the service from the hotel staff were sometimes unfriendley and at times unhelpfull when asking about local amenties. The hotel decor was tired and in palces unclean. I will not be recommending the Brentwood as a place to stay. If I could of afforded to stay in a different hotel I would of done so but knowing that I had to pay the amount due and find extra finaces to fund a different hotel I could not afford this. I recommend that you remove this hotel from your listing as recommending such a place to stay will only reflect on your own services. Unfriendly, not welcoming, unhelpfull staff, unclean room

Clean and tidy room with en suite, very good value. Very noisy room in a "pub hotel" above the bar. Unable to get to sleep until 12am due to large lady singing in the bar. Woken up at 4am by clubbers returning drunk and slamming all the doors.

No car park, someone had been sick on the Saturday night, I got up Sunday morning it was every where, I 1st saw it at 8am, we left the hotel at 10.15am & it was still there, the decor of the room was a lot to be desired, the toilet seat was broken, the shower in the room was a lot to be desired, the breakfast room was grubby & dirty, not the best of hotel's to stay in.

There was a bar and good food available. If you like to be entetained then this is the place for you. There is something on every night it would seem incuding live acts and disco etc. It was quite noisy if you wanted to get an early night. The music did stop before midnight. The room was tired but clean. A small TV provided freeviw via a box. The shower was poor.

The staff were very nice If you want a quiet night then maybe avoid this place. There was kareoke downstairs until midnight and there was at last one stag party staying. I had a drunk guy trying to get into my room at 1.30am who would not go away until I answered the door. Its a great place if there is a group of you and you want to get really drunk but not great if you need a good nights sleep.

We did enjoy our stay at the hotel We did enjoy our stay. Room even tho at top of building and up number of stairs was comfortable and quiet even tho party going on downstairs as it was New Years Eve. Breakfast tasty. One small problem, I did put on our booking online form under special requests that my husband was gluten free diet so he cdnt eat sausage and could he therefore have more bacon? I saw no sausage on plate but then no more bacon either! Tho tasty breakfast and we enjoyed. When booking in, the lady cant remember her name looked at our print out of confirmation booking and checked n then said they d over booked but rather than send us over the road, they d send a younger couple over thre instead but then we were charged £55 instead of £45 for a triple room! Nice as the room was, we didnt really need that and it wasnt really our fault they made a mistake but I dont recall an apology or mention of then over charging us. Glad we werent sent over the road as the first thing we saw on rising were 3 young lads drinking beer at the table outside first thing! Then later when waiting for our daughter to pick us up, 3 same lads came out drunk shouting abuse at us. Nice. Just those few points other than that nice place if basic to stay.

A cheap and cheerful hotel where nothing was too much trouble staff were there at our beck and call food was basic but good and priced at an affordable cost. The room I stayed in was basic, in need of an update but comfortable. Dont expect to hav an early night cause the noise from the bar will stop you doing that! But we didnt mind!! A good budget hotel with friendly staff - don't go there if you want luxury because you will be disappointed. You get what you pay for. It was ok for our two night stay. Entertainment was good. No real complaints to be honest. A bit more effort in the housekeeping department maybe and the rooms need more character, The glass in our bedroom window was cracked and needed replacing but didnt worry us really.

The friendliness of the management and staff, No is not in their vocabulary. They were excellent throughout our stay, always helpfull and obliging. A basic Hotel, minimum of mod-cons. A good nights sleep, Tea & Coffee in room, good inexpensive Restaurant & Bar. Exeptional service, treated as one of the family. Difficulty in parking. No lift. Not good for people with walking disabillities

Near town centre! Rooms were of a poor standard, tired & well worn. Shower curtain, broken & shower dribbles out water. Mould around bath edge. Kareoke in the bar went on until midnight and could clearly be heard in the room despite being on the top floor. If you want a good nights sleep, forget it. Breakfast room tired looking and breakfast very unexciting. Pictures on the website must have been taken years ago! Would not use agin.
