The bar area food etc. staff were great helpful couldn't fault them
Barth rooms need updating very bland
the room was huge and smelled very clean on arrival.
decor could do with updating (some signs of damp)
all the hotel facilities were good,
bathrooms could do with an upgrade the older part of the hotel needs a good clean
The morning staff were excellent. The food was nicely cooked, no complaints.( Regardless of check in given highest mark for staff)
When I booked in the reception was empty.( Why no bell?) As instructed, I went through to restaurant ( complete with my bags) to find staff.I was greeted by a young man with beer/lager in his hand,(he brought it through with him when he checked me in.) Not impressed!!
Friendly staff, comfy room relaxing atmosphere
Easy walk into centre. Fairly cheap.
Pub was so busy we couldn't get a table so had to eat elsewhere. Too much mould in bathroom. Thought we would be staying in the lovely old main building, not the 70's annex.
bathroom very basic
Good value. You get what you pay for.
Room was quiet and clean.
I liked the facilities and the location. The room was well furnished spacious. The room was cheap.
The price of the room was reflected on the quality. The room had large food stains high up and around the walls. The runner at the end of the bed had a large stain in the middle of it. The bathroom was dirty and the tiles are dropping off the wall. You get what you pay for !
Simple for budget stay Friendly lady at the counter Quiet place and comfort sleep
Quite far form Sheffield City
Staff were good, helpfull and friendly.
We were not expecting to stay in an ex old people's home/youth hostel! (Not the main building but an old building next door!)Very dated and not pleasantly smelling. Was hoping to recommend to friends but don't dislike any of my friends that much!
It was nice, warm, quiet at night and comfortable with parking. The staff was very nice as well.
There was nothing I did not like.
Pleasant stay, staff all very good and attentive, room was clean and comfortable. Food quality good and good value. Definitely stay again
Great variety of food on the menu & reasonably priced. We had a main coarse & a desert & both amazing.
Food was good in the pub resetraunt,Staff friendly.Hotel was surprisingly quiet, that said we couldnt open the window so any noise was restricted.
The room was poor standard,There was mould on the walls of our room, the adjoining room had an awful drain like smell, the windows didnt open in that room or in the main bathroom which also had rotten window frames,No remote for the TV,bed not very comfortable.
lots of hot waterm,clean
could do with a paint especially the bath panel, it just let it down
Staff lovely Bed comfy Lovely breakfast
I stayed in an annexe to the hotel which did not seem very safe. Window locks broken. Entrance to room run down and dirty gave very poor impression. Décor in room poor furniture chipped. I was on ground floor curtains wouldn't fasten properly.
Big comfy bed Very quiet
Dirty bathroom, black mould around the bath and shower. The bath panel was swollen and black. There was also a strange musty smell in the room and disturbed my sleep it was so strong. The bright lights outside the building made the room very light to sleep.
Very peaceful and relaxing even though it's attached to a pub, couldn't hear a thing . Staff were very helpful, pleasant and polite. Room was very comfortable had a lovely weekend there beautiful grounds for the kids too
The bed was comfortable and plenty of space in the room
The bathroom had a little damp and the taps on the bath were faulty
Location to Rotherham centre.
Brick annexed room had a mouldy smell from damp. Clean presentation, bed comfortable. Connecting bar boosted a beer festival in progress but only had one cask ale available, why? This hotel is somewhere to sleep that's all.
The member of staff who dealt with us was excellent and ensured we got a table on a very busy Saturday night. Good location in a quieter area so no noise overnight. The restaurant facilities were excellent and very good value. Overall a god stay and I would definitely chose to stay here again.
Bedrooms clean and well presented but a bit tired, especially the bathrooms which could do with a bit of attention.
The staff were really friendly and helpful making sure I had everything I needed. The pub attached to the hotel is really handy for food and the breakfast that is on offer within the hotel for a small charge is great. The room was warm and the bed really comfy
The rooms are a little bit run down particularly the bathroom. The heated towel rail was loose from the wall but I think you get what you pay for really.
Decent room at a good price. Nice bar and nice food
Room was a little old fashioned and the temperature was stuck to high.
