Lovely cosy bar. Great beer. Friendly staff.
Staff were friendly, nothing too much, all very attentive. Food huge portions, good choice, reasonably priced
Bathrooms a "little tired" and in need of updating - but all spotlessly clean.
Very friendly staff to greet us on arrival. The bar area is cosy and traditional with a coal fire. Delicious breakfast.
There was no heating on in the room. The central heating was then switched on, but - since it was a cool, damp day in November - it took a long time to warm up. Heating is a basic requirement when staying in a room. Bathroom very jaded, grout needed cleaning/replacing.
Breakfast especially when Mrs Atkins served. Parking good Willingness to modify menu Open fire
Radiator in bathroom not working but it was rectified quickly after we reported it. We felt the impressive looking menu was too expensive for what was served on the plate. Inconsistency of staff -apparently it is difficult to obtain staff so we did make allowances for that.
Breakgast to set you up for the day - particularly the home made jams and marmalade!
Food was good. Staff friendly. Location excellent in a beautiful area. Ample parking. Place is dog friendly
One night was very busy and staff struggled to cope with food orders and under pressure I think standards slipped. Room could do with a good deep clean, especially under and behind bed.
The staff were good and the restaurant was rather excellent. The location and the pub itself were just like a dream you would expect the North Yorkshire Dales to to be.
I booked on line from Heathrow the night before. The next day I drove all the way only to find that I had been double booked and was told I could only stay for one night and I would be moved to a B&B the next day. I was shocked and very upset because I really wanted the pub experience. I'm very upset by the experience and Booking.Com and the pub are never going to see my business again(((((
If you like a 'pub with rooms' environment you will love the Bridge Inn. Excellent friendly bar, good beers and food. Plenty of mixed difficulty walks and places to go. Dog friendly (and friendly pub cat!)
Restaurant service can be erratic.
The setting and character is lovely, would be much improved with a general overall and woman's touch!. The food was good, fresh and nicely presented. Breakfast tasty and gave a good start to the day. Basic, clean and comfortable room .
That the dining room didn't reflect same ambience as the bar area. Needed warmth , felt we had been short changed moving from bar into restaurant, may be our bad choice on the night but nevertheless needs the atmosphere! Service time lengthy between courses and added to the above.
The location was perfect for my husband and I as it was a short walk to the little village Reeth and to many walks around the inn. The food was lovely but expensive compared to the quality of the rooms.
The room we stayed in (no.5) is in need of a makeover which would then make it in line with cost of food! Atmosphere sometimes lacked as no music was playing behind the various quiet conversations you could hear and some were at times quite heated!!
Excellent breakfast good atmosphere in the bar not a bad menu strangely no chicken dishes.
The entrance hall from the car park was very untidy and the decor was tired.
Situation and views. Excellent base for walking. Pleasant staff.
Could do with a bit of a clean. The second day breakfast was excellent but the first day it was barely cooked.
Good bed, and new bedding and towels.
All floor covering was in need of renewing, carpets and bathroom flooring. Old chip fat smell was way beyond the kitchen, very off putting. Decor tired.
Excellent food, good choice of real ales. Fantastic location, friendly staff & locals. Breakfast the best ever!
Nothing worth mentioning
Friendly staff Good pub atmosphere Good food Comfortable room
No WIFI....Staff not very helpful. Hopeless set up...very Dissapointed by whole stay.
The full English breakfast, with all locally sourced ingredients was mouth watering. Home made black pudding and locally cured bacon, faultless and delicious. The bed was also very comfortable. Local musicians also playing in the bar in the evening. Nice guest soaps. Plenty of tea and coffee choice and home made biscuits supplied.
The rooms could have been cleaner. Cobwebs and grubby windows. On suite very small and dated. Unpleasant smell when entering via car park entrance.
Situation and ease of car parking
The general atmosphere, rooms functional but little style. The bedroom was a reasonable size but the double bed had the hardest mattress I have slept on for years. My back is still aching. We have stayed there before 2 years ago and the food was excellent, howeverMonday apparently was the chefs night off, and it showed. Where in Yorkshire will you get fries with battered fish. My husband had a lamb dish, which was £17. I had to ask him what the vegetables were as it look like one greyish mashed something . Other diners returned their meals. The whole place needs a deep clean. Coming down the stairs from the bedrooms the banisters felt sticky and unpleasant. The hall was a dumping ground for unused carpets, and other bits and pieces. We sadly will not be returning to the Bridge.
The décor of the room was good, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean.
There was no cot, which were informed there would be, therefore my baby had to sleep on a makeshift bed; we had to make up the beds ourselves, as they were not made up. The room was only set up for a couple, rather than for two children. My meal was not cooked properly and was very unappetising for the price which was high.
everything, we arrived very late Friday night ad were still greeted in a very friendly manner
having to come home
Location and acces to the Dales Warmth and friendliness of ALL staff. Quality and variety of food. Easy car parking Quiet and peaceful surroundings
Location was excellent, staff were helpful. Bar Food OK - very busy.
Bathroom could do with refurbishment as very old and tired in 70s pink!!! Only a trickle of water from shower. Could feel the springs in the bed. Could only connect to free wi-fi in the bar.
very noisy bar on a night needed a good clean
Real pub well sited for walking and Swaledale Fesival. Great beer, convivial bar atmosphere, excellent tasty food. Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly.
'Drew' the bar man, very welcoming, friendly. breakfast - yum evening meal fantastic - thank you Michel
