The food was lovely

the food was excellent. well cooked and well presented by great staff.

two night stay, no hot water first night and no central heating second morning. rooms clean but tired. walls wafer thin.

dinner & breakfast food restaurant not pub & vry xcllnt. small but nice room & bathroom. staff wonderful. lovely little village.

Good location and inn was full of character. All the staff were friendly and cheerful.

Breakfast was from 8.30-9.00am. Should at least be until 9.30am. Waste bin in toilet looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a while.

The food was very good, both breakfast and the evening meals. The bed was very comfortable.

The place would benefit from a total makeover from new decor to new carpets.

The beer, the roaring fire, the friendly atmosphere, the staff and locals, the food. Not sure why booking.com show The Bridge Inn as in Reeth? It's in the delightful village of Grinton, over a mile from Reeth.

Carpets and decor getting a bit shabby in places, although still clean. The ensuite bathroom was amazingly small (Room 4).

Very friendly staff. Excelllent evening meal and breakfast. Ideally placed for walking on the Yorkshire Dales. Good selection of well-kept beer.

Warm welcome, open fire, comfortable bar, friendly atmosphere. Music night on Thursday suited us down to the ground - local musicians (four guitars, a fiddle and mandolin) singing anything they fancied. Good sized room and comfortable bed. Imaginative menu translated into delicious meals, with good sized portions. Breakfast warrants a special mention: marinaded fruits and home made marmalades accompanied a good and proper English breakfast.

Hot water supply to basin in en-suite had very limited flow - but the electric shower worked fine.

The friendly and warm atmosphere was welcoming. The room was very comfortable with a lovely soft bed. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff were helpful with recommending local walks in the area.

The food menu was excellent and the staff were the friendliest people in the Dales.

Having to leave on Sunday morning!

Lovely part of the Yorkshire Dales, the pub had a great atmosphere with an open fire and some interesting people to talk to. Nice meal available at night and breakfast was good. The barman was quite entertaining and kept us up to the late hours.

The smell of cooked food throughout the hotel was a bit off- putting as well as the carpets which needed a good shampooing or replacing. The room was never really warm as the heating system was turned on in the room after I arrived. It was still cold late in the night. The shower did not work and this seemed to be an occasional problem that the owners were aware of. I had to shower in an adjacent room. I did not like the dark brown silk bedspread which did not suit the room. Wifi only worked downstairs. The tariff was quite expensive for what I got compared to other pubs. If you are a solo traveller, you will probably have to pay as per a couple. There are many others to choose in that area.

Great location, looking over the River and Moutains. Excellent restaurant, with a limited but good choice of food that was well presented. The rooms are dated but clean and comfortable. Lots of off road parking.

On a very icy winter's day it was just wonderful to arrive to find the fire blazing in the very comfortable bar. Fantastic food - good ingredients locally or even self sourced. Homemade jams and marmalades at breakfast as well as a spicy fruit compote in addition to a great 'full English' - even the black pudding was homemade. And it was the first time I've had the opportunity to try roast grouse which was very appropriate as we were there on a family research trip, having recently discovered that my grandfather was a head gamekeeper in the district and frequently visited the pub, making his way home on his motorbike. However, our stay was made even more special by Teal and Timmy.

Its our 2nd visit to the Bridge only this time we took our friends, the owners are very nice people, the food is excellent and the entertainment from the barman Drew kept us entertained through out the evening. Well worth a visit, we will certainly all going back.

Excellent meals served very promptly. Room was comfortable and en-suite bathroom was a generous size.

Room was a bit chilly when the radiators were off during the day, although it was fine in the evening and early morning.

Warm friendly atmosphere from the minute we walked in the door. The food was excellent - well presented, very tasty, excellent portion size. The staff couldn't do enough for you to make your stay so enjoyable. The roaring firein the bar was an added bonus!

The friendliness and general ambience. Food was delicious and skilfully served by an excellent staff-We would stay here again at any time.

Nothing we didn't like but perhaps the manager could be a bit more enthusiatic about his role in running the place.

Not much. Disappointed that the limited specials board remained the same for all three days of our stay. Only one fire was lit - reducing some of the ambience

the room we had was not comfortable we could feel every spring in the mattresses on the beds i,m afraid it could do with a good spruce up and we where unaware that they catered for dogs whichwas not to our personal liking

The family atmosphere . All members off staff in all departments were polite, friendly and helpful. The food was terrific, and we were impressed by the little touches, like home made biscuits, fresh flowers, etc.

The bedrooms were warm and clean, but could do with a re-decorate
