Said to be haunted by the ghost of Mary Queen of Scots, this Elizabethan hotel has historic features and a cosy restaurant. Charm and character mix with modern facilities.

Couldn't be faulted for a xmas party, may book ours there next year!
The pipe music of golden oldies in the restaurant kept us entertained for some time, with the decor and waiting time for dinner to arrive very reminiscent of that brilliant TV series about a hotel...
The staff was very quick on taking our dinner orders, but after 2 hours nothing had appeared yet. When it finally did arrive, it was clear it had been standing forgotten for a good while under the heat lamp.
Good value, staff pleasant.
Very tired, needs a complete re furb.
Function in the hotel on the night of stay meant that as a hotel guest you could not use the dining room and had to sit uncomfortable in the bar area trying to eat a meal. Spent most of the night listening to bedroom doors slamming.
Location was good, relatively clean and tidy. Very cosy looking.
There was nobody on reception when I arrived had to ask a chef to find her 5 minutes later. The wifi wasn't very good, ok it was free but still! If you are planning to have breakfast before 8 expect toast or cereal as no one was available to cook full English - which was included in price
The room when there was power.
Lack of understanding about the severity of sleep apnea under power loss conditions. Not for me, won't be staying again.
Staff are polite and extremely helpful. Our room was spotless and I we would definitely stay again
We had a particularly delicious and well presented dinner and that rarity hot croissants for breakfast. The room was comfortable and the hotel ideally positioned close to the A14 and at the same time an easy walk up the main street of Thrapston
Very friendly, helpful staff Upgrade to beautiful 4 poster room! Corner bath Cleanliness throughout Delicious full English brek
The breakfast. The black pudding and hash browns were overdone, bordering on hard.
The hotel though a bit shabby was comfortable and had an excellent lounge area for guests The room was spacious ,the bathroom needed updating but overall a very pleasant two days. The staff were friendly and helpful.
While entering the Bridge hotel we was really warmly welcomed and our roon was ready two hours in advance. Serves was outstanding well informed and coordinated.. Rooms really warm food lovely specially Sunday roast!
No fridge in the room that's all.
Very friendly, they organised an early breakfast sitting for us so we could enjoy the excellent cooked breakfast before leaving. Rooms very comfy.
Nothing, it was all good
very helpful staff and excellent room
Good restaurant, friendly staff
The rooms need upgrading, better finish in bathrooms and renovate wondows
Good breakfast Good facilities in room
Only one bath towel and one hand towel for two of us
A value for money hotel with efficient staff. The couple of issues we had with the room were resolved very quickly and we enjoyed our weekend in Northamptonshire.
position was good. Room was spacious and well equipped. Breakfast service good and food pleasant. Parking excellent, check in and out very efficient and friendly, Would use again
The small and rather dark bathroom
NO dinner served on Sunday evenings.
Friendly welcome and helpful staff. Good sized room, comfy beds, quiet and good shower. Allowed our elderly dog to sleep in the room with us which was a real help.
The room had a huge sunny decorative window that couldn't open so the room was very hot. Fortunately the bathroom one did open and a fan was provided so we got by. It was a hot day.
Staff service - i arrived very late and left early but nothing was too much trouble for the night porter.
Old fashioned decor
Value for money
No view from hotel windows - glazed glass to obstruct brick walls outside
Food good quality but not much choice.
Service rather slow. Hotel had a worn out run down appearance. Even the superior rooms were fairly basic and needed extensive refurbishment especially the bathroom.
Few mins from festival we were staying at so great location. Room comfortable. Nice big bottle of water in room along with the hot drinks
Mouse ran across carpet in bar. Told staff. Tv didnt work in room but didnt bother us as late and staying just one night. Asked if hotel had pack of cards - they didnt have but realise not an essential
