Great breakfast choice, staff very friendly and helpful, comfortable room
Not many facilities at the hotel
The breakfast was excellent and the price of the room was reasonable for January.
The room and bathroom would benefit from modernising, the bathroom was not very clean on arrival.
Staff were very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good. Room was comfortable. Heating in room was excellent. Free use of computer and internet in lobby.
The restaurant could have been warmer.
Very friendly staff. Great Wi-Fi. Excellent breakfast. Nice bar and restaurant.
Unnecessary music played through speaker system in the corridors until late in the evening. Noisy bathroom extractor fans could be heard from guests next door early in morning.
Proximity to M5, felt safe for sole female traveller
Size of the room. Friendliness of staff.
Cooked breakfast was very oily. Water pressure in the shower was not very strong & I would have expected, for that price, to have adjustable water pressure.
Ease of checking/out. Newspaper service. Bar prices were reasonable
Very cold bar area. Poor evening menu. Basic pub type food.
Loved the comfy bed and the clean room. Breakfast was generous & staff very attentive.
Don't like the very flimsy & cheap shower curtain that meant the floor got flooded and curtain stuck to us as we showered.
Easy to locate, lovely hotel with very nice facilities. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and very comfortable.
Friendliness of staff . Very good WiFi . Good food and very comfortable .
Very slow service for evening meal. Discrepancy over pre-authorisation payment - currently being investigated!
Nice welcome, nice room, great breakfast with friendly efficient staff.
Can't fault the hotel for the price. The bathroom would benefit from modernising, but was clean.
Easy to find. Excellent price. Good food. Very clean. No complaints! !
Uncooperative staff, Boiling shower in daughters room, causing her to be moved to another room in a reluctant fashion. Could hear people talking outside, no d/glazing. Noisy through night, clear noise from next door's toilet.
Very good food and fast wifi
Hotel could do with a refurb
Staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good.
easy to get to from the motorway
Very handy to Slimbridge. Comfortable hotel with good meals. Plenty of parking. Good value at the price.
Staff were a little off-hand and surly. Otherwise all OK.
The staff were very helpful courteous and polite in manner but not over friendly Very clean hotel, with good facilities. We really could not fault anything or anyone during our short stay.
people in room a bit loud and kept trying to open connecting door even though it was locked
The hotel is conveniently located
I arrived late and hadn't eaten so I ordered room service. Although there was plenty the quality of food was poor. I did mention it to the receptionist on check out, who told me she couldn't do anything about it as firstly I hadn't reported it the night before and also there was no available manager to authorise it! I asked if she preferred me to give on-line feedback and she said yes so here goes.As a Best Western member and a regular booking.com user I expected much better service. The hotel is showing signs of wear and I found the staff unhelpful. I definitely will not use it again!. For what I got it was poor value for money.
Staff; Cleanliness; Food; Location, less than a mile from junction 14 0n the M5. We were impressed with all aspects and would certainly reccommend The Gables Hotel.
Food very good. Room clean and comfortable. All members of staff very friendly and helpful.
No complaints whatsoever.
The evening meal I had was gross! Worst curry I have ever had!
