Decor and food were good, great breakfast. Stayed in cottage which was very pleasant.
The main pub is on a busy main road so not the most picturesque. Cottage also on busy main road so is noisy
Having such a great restaurant on the premises.
The packed breakfast in the room. It would have been great to have a cooked breakfast option.
Room finish. Bed. Bathroom. Food. Nice pub with friendly staff
Room size a bit small for the price. Sunday 9.30 Breakfast time late start.
Everything about this little hidden gem
Decor, food and staff were all fantastic! Nothing too much trouble. Only downside was some building going on but this is obviously only temporary as we were led to bekieve it's for a kitchen extension.
Meal we had was very good also breakfast in the room was good
It will be even better when building work is completed and car park surfaced
one of the best hotel rooms in uk must visit hotel just to see the hotel loo
Stylish whilst charming. The combination of mod cons were not out of sync with the lovely cottage.Wonderfully spacious bathroom with stone floored walk in hot shower and stand alone bath.Comfortable bed on top floor with sensor lit stairs.Farm house style kitchen leading to long garden with cushioned covered seating area.Breakfast in morning very good with good choice.
Stairs are a little narrow .
Quiet & comfortable well appointed room, good restaurant and bar.
Not the most attractive of urban locations, though convenient for Aylesbury.
When we first arrived we were a little bit concerned that The Broad Leys is right on a main road and next door to an Esso Petrol Station! However, from the moment we walked in all our worries disappeared... The staff and service is first class. Our boutique room (#1: The Cream Room) was at the back of the property, beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail & a fabulous bathroom. The 'breakfast' is much more than a continental affair: cereals, fresh milk, fresh orange juice, fresh fruit salad, croissants, mini-rolls, yogurts, flapjack - all beautifully presented in the fridge the day before so you can take out as a packed lunch, if you'd prefer. The restaurant menu is very good - try the 'Top Dog' if you fancy something different and incredibly tasty! Great selection of beers & wines. A lovely outside area to enjoy those barmy warm evenings.
Maybe not a fair comment, but the reason I marked down 'quality of sleep' is because the Broad Leys is currently undergoing massive renovations, which will certainly enhance this lovely place once completed but doesn't allow you a 'sleep-in' during your holiday stay. Workmen started at 8am and so the cement mixing and brick grinding 'alarm call' did somewhat spoil an otherwise perfect holiday break. Once finished however, the boutique rooms, will be in their own little manicured courtyard at the back of the property, with electric, private access gates that only the residence of these room will be able to enjoy. It will be fabulous.
Very friendly and attentive staff Excellent food in the pub Comfortable, clean and well spec'd room. Free guest wifi Location to town centre
Parking is a bit hit and miss due to the popularity of the pub. Would be nice to have two parking slots around the back for guests. Due to the room backing on to the Pub toilets, the Air Blade hand dryers can be heard through the wall going off every few minutes.
Very nervous when we arrived at 23.30. Staff just going home, but were great. The cottage (11) was a massive surprise and brilliant. The attention to detail and teh bathroom were amazing. The continental breakfast excellent and the mini rolls great.
No English breakfast tea. Road noise - needs secondary glazing and quite hot it room. Would be hard with large suitcases - we had cabin bag size.
The cottage was well appointed, nicely decorated and had a luxurious feel about it. The garden - which is not overlooked - was an added bonus and a lovely part of the set-up. The staff at The Broad Leys were helpful and welcoming. The restaurant served an interesting and diverse menu.
Excellent restaurant and service. Food amazing. Excellent decor in pub and our accommodation. Secluded garden and very quiet in cottage accommodation.
Stairs in cottage a bit to steep for me. Bedroom at top floor was quite warm however we were provided with a fan.
everything Breakfast provided in your room, room included a fridge and air con which is so unusual, James was extremely helpful. Room presentation is superb, beautiful bathroom, wonderful all round
Entrance to the rooms could be off putting, very short lived through !
clean, friendly staff, good location, they put good effort in decorating the rooms
uncomfortable pillows (too thick); the room is really too small for the massive bed so I hit myself on the bed posts multiple times; noise from busy road throughout the night; breakfast in room; don't see why I paid 100 pounds per night
Quiet room nicely decorated.
Under floor heating was on even though switch showed off. Not really necessary in July. Air conditioning coped eventually and made bedroom bearable.
The hosts at Broad Leys were very pleasant, staff extremely personable and helpful. Room was clean and luxurious. top Marks Would stay again
Liked every thing
Although the kitchen was well equipped it would have been good to have a frying pan, breakfast glasses and maybe a breakfast hamper with eggs, bacon etc.
Though it was the England Match night, we were at first concerned we would be disturbed. However, the layout of the accommodation is such that it was quiet and set apart from the PH area.
Everything had clearly been thought of for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Suite was well planned, laid out and decorated..... we were impressed with the room including Air Con available.
Great location for our purpose - theatre, very friendly staff and good food - recommended
None to speak of
A beautiful cottage, really well decorated and lovely period features, bathroom the best bit. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The little touches are what makes this cottage stunning (fairy lights in the bathroom ceiling!).
The bedroom gets very warm at night, even with the window open. They do provide a dyson airblade but you have to choose between the cool and noisy or warm and stuffy.
Decor, comfort, service and food
Location next to a petrol station
Very friendly staff, comfortable room, excellent food
The approach to the rooms is quite shabby and a little off putting
