After checking out reviews for this hotel we decided on a long weekend there. We were not disappointed. The food was superb, always hot and a great variety of dishes. The hotel was lovely and warm, very clean and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Even though the weather was not to good we had a great time and will most certainly be using this hotel again and again. A lovely quiet, peaceful break. Maybe the room was a little on the small side, but hey, it is only for sleeping in. Maybe also one or two more vegetarian dishes would be nice. |

the main rooms of the hotel were well decorated and comfortable the bedrooms are adequate but could be updated and improved with better decore the cramped access and egress from the lift and the musty smell on the top floor |

The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Food excellent. The corridor to room G02. Thought it was really scruffy and unattractive. |

It was a weekend break away at the seaside so we went out for a walk in the day then went our for drinks and a mean at night. The breakfast wasn't very nice at all. Some of the staff in the restaurant were a little disorganised, we had to ask 3 different staff for coffee before we got any. This was the only thing that I thought was a let down, everything else was excellent. |

The rooms have been decorated cheaply, eg paint over door knobs, creaky floorboards and woodchip wallpaper. Food quite good but put your order in two hours before you want to eat! |

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay , the food was excellantand even though on one occasion we had to wait it was well worth it and the staff really helpful and friendly, even to the point of getting my fish poached instead of battered. The entertainment although the type was not all to my liking was very good and the other gest reallt enjoyed it. The prices at the bar were reasonable. Our room was really lovely and we were able to take a well deserved relaxing break in comfort. I must admit that most of the other guests were a little elderley but was not really a problem made us feel like teenagers. The lift was a little bit awkward to handle. |

Stayed in Deluxe room which was very spacious & comfortable. The food was excellent with a good choice of menu. The staff were very friendly & the hotel had a good quiet location, with easy access to the beach via "beach lift" The bar was in the basement, with no windows. |

The room was clean and tidy. Parking, though on the road, was good. The staff were always helpful. Although the room was always clean and tidy the windows and doors had to be wedged with paper as everytime someone opened the passage door they banged. The shower was also hard to work out and fittings could have been better. |

Spacious rooms (we had a deluxe one, so maybe you would expect this), and all the satff were very pleasant and helpful. The quality of the food was excellant and the service was first class (when you got served that is !). The lift was most useful and this hotel was chosen because it had one, the lift was not too large but it did the job perfectly. Very very small showerroom and the toilet pretty much impossible to use fully due to its location in the showeroom and lack of any room around it. Must have the worlds smallest shower. Meal times were very hectic and if you were at the wrong end of the dining room you had to wait a long time to be served. |

The general polite and friendly attitude from all the staff including the excellent service and standard of food at all meals made our visit more than pleasent and will make us return another time. The entrance from the footpath needs some attention as very uneven and a very bad first impression. |

A very nice hotel, spotlessly clean bedroom and very good meals.I would definitely stay here if visiting Scarborough again. The lift was very old fashioned and difficult to operate. |

The hotel is newly furbished and clean. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Good food but the restaurant was still trying to settle into a routine with its service so was sometimes a bit slow. Our room was at the back of the hotel and was very noisy with refuse collecting lorries and deliveries. |
