The staff, a very nice ,sweet couple!!!
The atmosphere. The Scottish breakfast. The view of the Palace.
The shared bathroom. The creaking floors. The difficulty in getting luggage to the second floorThe rooms need to be carefully checked out to ensure that everything is in working order, particularly after the recent change of ownership.
This village is a real gem. Very friendly staff and good home cooked food. Met loads of staff and every one of them were as you would expect. Friendy, polite and very helpful.
Only spending one night here. Safe secure parking for our motorbikes
Comfortable room, clean and quiet. The village is gorgeous and would have been worth a leisure stay. Large bathroom (even though carpeted), friendly staff, good food in the pub downstairs. Overall, very good value for money.
WiFi only worked in the pub downstairs, not in my room - they should change the description on the site. Not much water pressure in the shower. Beware: I had the on-suite, the other rooms share a bathroom.
lovely room, great view, nice bar
The staff was amazing!! Food was delicious, and plentiful. Rooms were very comfortable.
The sun coming up at 4 am. That was not the Bruce Inns fault.
Jade and chef
staff is brilliant! very nice and friendly! the location is amazing!
the idea of sharing the bathroom is like going back 50 years ago.
Rooms in the Bruce Inn are very old, but the decor is delightful. We had room number one overlooking the Falkland Palace.
Wifi is described as available throughout the building, however only works in the bar and restaurant.
Fantastic place to stay the accommodation was fab just right for our family of 3 kids ranging from 7 - 12 years & 2 adults.
Only downside was the noisy pub below the accommodation kids found it hard to get over to sleep
The location was perfect. Lovely view from our window of Falkland Palace where we attended a wedding. Comfortable bed and very nice breakfast.
It was a bit loud in the bar, making it difficult to chat.
No WiFi in the room.
Spacious, well maintained
Music from the pub attached to it until late night
loved the apartment. ( on first floor)excellent with large amount of space. 2 bathrooms with showers excellent. bedrooms beautifully furnished with quality linen and modern décor. everything was provided. Food at the Bruce was also excellent and service excellent. great situation. Had a lovely holiday.
bathroom shower could do with a grab rail. Kitchen oven and grill could have been cleaner.
Friendly staff, comfortable accommodation, nice clean rooms, pretty surroundings
Our rooms over the tavern were noisy at bedtime with live music underneath us on Friday and Saturday nights
Loved location, very central overlooking The Palace. Friendly, helpful staff.
Would have preferred en-suite bathroom although didn't actually have to share with any other guests so not a major issue really.
This is an old building. No lounge for guests. Just a bar and an area to eat. Location is good
The room was not serviced during the 3 nights we stayed.
Welcoming staff and nice hotel and location. Cosy atmosphere. Evening meal (was optional) was excellent and just the meal would attract us back. All in all a great place and deserves a higher rating than the current 8.3 rating
Bathroom could do with a freshen up but was certainly clean. This in no way would detract us from visiting this hotel again.
Staff were unwilling to get up and offer breakfast at 7.30am which I receive at other hotels. Was left cerial bar & carton of milk outside bedroom door. Noisy bar - closed late into night. Will not be considering this hotel in future.
Really nice decor, comfy bed, friendly staff
It was a bit cold but to be fair the staff went and got us a plug-in radiator when we mentioned this so it was dealt with very well.
Staff and location superb Food was excellent and local Entertainment was a bonus and enjoyable
kettle + TV
Friendly staff nice and quite food good
Rooms comfy but v.cold door locks faulty got locked on landing for 1 hour .went down for breakfast at 8 oclock one morning chef didnt turn up till 9.45
everything was great excellent food lovely rooms
The atmosphere was just so cosy and comfortable especially for a pre christmas break. The Staff were so accommodating and hospitable. We especially liked the fact we could wander down for breakfast when we were ready as the pub didn't open till 1230. The breakfast was really delicious and we also enjoyed our evening meal the first night.
The blind in the ensuite is needing replacing it doesn't work properly and it's mucky. The information about contact fire and breakfast etc was hidden in a drawer and the manager didn't tell us what the arrangements for breakfast were. The door had to be slammed to shut it properly we were worried about disturbing the residents in flat above and other guests. The kettle lead wasn't long enough so had to be boiledon the floor.
Friendly staff, beautiful location...great beer
