This elegantly restored, award-winning 19th Century property has views over South Inch Park, just 2 minutes’ walk from the banks of the river Tay.

A family-owned hotel located in the leafy suburbs of Kirkcaldy, ideally located as a base for guests visiting St Andrews (17 miles), or Fife. The hotel is a 40 minute drive from Edinburgh.
Score from 116 reviews Good
Central location in atmospheric town. The room was warm and clean, except for the carpet. The bed was very comfortable and the shared bathroom very clean and fully stocked with products and quality toilet paper. The staff were pleasant. We didn't feel a Scottish pride or warmth.
Bedroom carpet was badly stained. Breakfast was cheap and lack luster. Scrambled egg served with cheap sliced bread on a cold plate with no garnish.
Convenient on street parking outside the pub, excellent breakfast, clean room, friendly staff, comfy bed
A bit noisy in the bar below but it stopped around 11pm. There was a party the night I stayed otherwise it is probably quieter.
Room was clean and fresh, hosts were friendly and approachable, good wifi signal in the room, great place to stay with character. They're also doing a deal during winter £7.50 for a main meal including drink - bargain and the lasagne's really good!
Bit of a draft coming off the window made my room a bit chilly but there was an extra heater provided in addition to the central heating radiator.
quiet and comfortable
We love Falkland and the hotel was very pleasant. Great value. We ate in the restaurant, food not amazing but ok. Lovely rooms.
Food could have been better. Otherwise really good
Couldn't fault it.
Bedroom was beautifully laid out, clean spacious and with nice interior decor. Directly opposite Falkland Palace with lovely view right in the middle of the village.
Bit noisy - customers left at 12.45am but I was aware it was a room above an inn. Not keen on having to share a bathroom, but very old building so can't see them being able to just build an ensuite.
The warm and friendly atmosphere and helpful staff... Outstanding... Large room
It needs a bit of TLC... The Bruce Inn needs a bit of a Spruce up....
Location and friendly greeting
We traveled with another couple and had a shared bathroom between the two rooms which was fine for us. Size of room was great. Very clean and modern decor. Breakfast was good.
Rooms were above the pub/restaurant and at night you could hear the noise from the pub but it quietened down around 12:30am (Thursday night)
Rich Scottish breakfast. Typical, a old fashioned pub accomodation - good start for our Scotland trip. Family room with plenty of room with twin bed and two single beds. Wifi included. Directly opposite Falkland Palace (which is interesting not only but also for tennis Players :-)
Parking on public parking lot (next to library), 2 mins away (unloading in front of Inn was possible though).
The hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The meals were excellent (particularly the lamb's liver which melted in the mouth and was delicious). Staff were very attentive without being obtrusive. The pleasant village location was very nice and picturesque and the hotel's bar was cosy and a friendly place to enjoy a drink. All in all, apart from our dislike (below), we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bruce Inn.
Both my wife and I found the bed in room 1 to be intensely uncomfortable and were awake from 0200 hrs and unable to get back to sleep. Given that the couple running the hotel had only taken over a few weeks previously, I felt this a shame that they had been left with these beds. I wouldn't hesitate to return to The Bruce Inn in the future provided there were beds which were more comfortable.
The Bruce is centrally located in a most beautiful village, with some fascinating old buildings nearby. The room I stayed in was a good size and the bed comfortable, with a window overlooking the street. The evening meal menu was surprisingly extensive, and turned out to be very well cooked. All staff were very nice and made my one-night stay at the Bruce a pleasant experience.
As my room had a window onto the street, directly above the entrance door, I found the sound of voices coming up a little disturbing; people were going out for a smoke and talking loudly, and as the window was single-glazed, the sounds coming in were a bit intrusive. However, a minor complaint only!
Lovely place and such friendly, helpful staff. We arrived very late due to our flight being delayed. However, they went out of their way to make us welcome. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. We would definitely go back.
The staff, a very nice ,sweet couple!!!
The atmosphere. The Scottish breakfast. The view of the Palace.
The shared bathroom. The creaking floors. The difficulty in getting luggage to the second floorThe rooms need to be carefully checked out to ensure that everything is in working order, particularly after the recent change of ownership.
This village is a real gem. Very friendly staff and good home cooked food. Met loads of staff and every one of them were as you would expect. Friendy, polite and very helpful.
Only spending one night here. Safe secure parking for our motorbikes
Comfortable room, clean and quiet. The village is gorgeous and would have been worth a leisure stay. Large bathroom (even though carpeted), friendly staff, good food in the pub downstairs. Overall, very good value for money.
WiFi only worked in the pub downstairs, not in my room - they should change the description on the site. Not much water pressure in the shower. Beware: I had the on-suite, the other rooms share a bathroom.
lovely room, great view, nice bar
The staff was amazing!! Food was delicious, and plentiful. Rooms were very comfortable.
The sun coming up at 4 am. That was not the Bruce Inns fault.
Jade and chef
staff is brilliant! very nice and friendly! the location is amazing!
the idea of sharing the bathroom is like going back 50 years ago.
Rooms in the Bruce Inn are very old, but the decor is delightful. We had room number one overlooking the Falkland Palace.
Wifi is described as available throughout the building, however only works in the bar and restaurant.
Fantastic place to stay the accommodation was fab just right for our family of 3 kids ranging from 7 - 12 years & 2 adults.
Only downside was the noisy pub below the accommodation kids found it hard to get over to sleep
The location was perfect. Lovely view from our window of Falkland Palace where we attended a wedding. Comfortable bed and very nice breakfast.
It was a bit loud in the bar, making it difficult to chat.
