Location and food. Very friendly staff.

Bed was too soft and low for us, may well suit others.

Characterful old building. Pleasant staff. SUPERB breakfast menu. Lovely village.

Bed not overly comfortable. Room a bit on the small side. No heating, even though the July/early August heatwave had passed and Yorkshire can be a bit parky.

Friendly staff. Great location. Good beer. Good shower room. Pretty good evening meal. Very good breakfast.

Bedroom was a bit dated and small. Views from rear bedrooms not as good as from front and side.

Fab. location. ample parking Lovely efficient breakfast staff. Breakfasts substantial and well presented The Buck Inn could easily reach 4 star with not too much effort!

Felt the decor needed an upgrade. More attention to details in the room. Considered food expensive, better deals in close proximity. No presence of management at any time, always served by young part timers,( but very polite). no invoice available on checking out.

Fabulous location and a great base for some lovely walks. The breakfasts were excellent. A lovely old country inn, situated in a super Yorkshire Dales village.

The en-suite bathroom was very small, containing a small shower and a toilet which was a squeeze to sit on. (I'm a normal size). The room was of average quality.

Area was lovely and enjoyed the walks. Food was good. Staff were good.

The Buck Inn itself was looking tired, needing redecorating and updating. Their web site made a point of having a variety of real ale which we were looking forward to trying but only three were available the whole time we were there, even though they had a delivery. Very disapointed that the covered and heated rear patio area was a none smoking area and we had to revert to the front of the building beside the road, where we couldn't even sit down on the wet seats because of rain.

Great location with modest walks to key landmarks. Lovely quiet location. Very helpful staff. Traditional menu & the rabbit pie was excellent. Updated bathroom.

An "old style" inn both in decor and menu. Small rooms and no WiFi.

The location and ample parking. Staff were lovely.

The price of meals, tiny bedroom, bed had a very heavy quilt on it, not enough room to swing a cat if we had one. The breakfast was swimming in grease although very tasty.
