Management & staff friendly.
General atmosphere of grubbiness. Felt that the whole place was slowly spiralling down into a black hole. Terrible food.
excellent view of Richmond and countryside from our window very central, 5 minutes walk from main square in old fashioned street, cobbled
Wifi bar, atmosphere in that area
Friendly place, great location & yummy breakfast! Wonderful views. We enjoyed our weekend stay for a wedding in Richmond.
Could have done with a hair dryer in the room.
Our room was on the top floor reached by 2 flights of very steep stairs with a doddgy banister. This was tottally unsuitable for older clients, our little dog fell up and down on the stairs they were so steep. We had requestyed a room on a ground or low floor. The breakfast left a lot to be desired,
Spacious comfortable room with TV, wifi, tea and coffee. Clean apart from the carpet. Good location for the town. Slightly cheaper than other local hotels, but rather have paid more for something better.
A pub, not a hotel/guest house. Noisy people in the street below, coming out of the pub to smoke and finally leaving at around 1am kept us awake on 3 of the 4 midweek nights we stayed. Dirty carpet. Mismatched furniture with bits missing. Not much breakfast choice if you don't want a fry up.
The Location was great, walking distance from the centre and all the pubs & the church where our friends got married.
cant fault the hotel really
Beds and sheets were good and clean
Would describe as tatty. Poor furnishings, restaurant unnatractive. Tele didnt work and apart from a very helpful local in the bar no one was interested
Room was good had wifi and comfortable beds and friendly staff.
The shower did not work properly either being cold or scalding and was not possible to find a optimum temperature. There was no dinner service on a Monday and Tuesday and breakfast was not brilliant with grey microwaved scrambled egg.Breakfast was served in a room cluttered with a printer and scattered paper where the breakfast orders sheets and dinner menues had been printed.Simple things that would be simple to sort out and would make a massive difference
Uncomfortable beds, excessive music way beyond normal noise levels and despite complaining it went on till 2am. THIs venue needs to decide to concentrate on guest staying or drinkers. Swearing and loud noise outside our third floor window until 2am.
The friendlyness of the staff The food and chef were very good. The room was clean airy and the view stunning.
Location was central Richmond.
Accomodation was shabby
the staff were good, very friendly. the place had a lot of character. room was clean but even with on suite was a bit crowded for a family room, breakfast was ok..
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The food was excellent
There should be a warning on the web site before booking that there will be loud music and rowdy noise outside till the early hours. We had no sleep till after 3.00 a.m. in the morning.
The location was good.
A large sash window in the bedroom would not close as it had been painted in the open position. The wash-basin was positioned at the opposite end of the bedroom from the toilet and shower. There was no bed-side lamp or light-switch. A noisy disco carried on until 2.00am.
Shower didn't work properly Mould in room & bathroom Said on booking castle view didn't get, only get two hours parking outside doesn't say this on website
Breakfast was very good
The floorboards were very precarious and very uneven
Price,dangerous stairs.Bedroom no towel rail,or bedside lamp.Beds never made.Terrible parking set up.
Rowdy. All local youth go their and play pool till 2 30 in morn. Couldnt sleep due to loud talking outside. So tired couldnt wake in time for breakfast. Just give this place a miss.
The staff were very friendly and the guest house was value for money. It is in a very good location, handy for all amenities in Richmond. Breakfast was very good.
It was a bit noisy. The room could have been better.
the filthy room the awful food
Hotel was tired and grubby was very disapointed, breakfast also poor
Breakfast v good and friendly staff.
Booked a 3 bedded room but had 1 x double, 1 x single and a mattress on the floor. Room was tired and needed redecoration. But at the price good for 1 night.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good sized family room. Very good breakfast. Good on street parking.
