The staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and efficient. The room was very comfortable, very well furnished and had lovely touches, such as complementary elder flower spirit, to try. The food in the bar was superb and the breakfast dining experience was great, including Eggs Benedict which was the best we have ever tasted.
There was absolutely Nothing to dislike.
The room, the room's decor, the comfortable bed, the bathroom and the room facilities. The location is great as is Stamford, the parking is good and the staff were more than courteous and helpful
Although the evening meal was great, the room was dusty and our table was next to the outside door which patrons used to visit the toilet in the bar across the passage, we had to repeatedly close the door which failed to close properly even though it had closing springs. The breakfast was a disappintment, although the menu promised otherwise it arrived as something of aess on the plate and nearly cold. Overall it was a little overpriced.
The bedroom was charming and very large. The bed and bed linen were very good quality, as were the coffees and teas. The bathroom was also very nicely done.
Liked the location, the rooms, the restaurant/food was really good, great breakfast and the staff were very friendly and happy.
We enjoyed our stay at The Bull & Swan. Being lovers of all things old, the 16th century coaching inn oozes atmosphere and yet provides comfort and modern facilities as well as good food. In the room we liked the specialist teas, coffee and biscuits offered as well and the still and sparkling mineral waters. The complimentary local elderberry vodka was a nice welcome extra. The bed was very comfortable and had nice quality bed linen. The en suite bathroom was modern, clean and had a nice tropical rain walk in shower. The bath towels were lovely – big and thick. The restaurant is not open during the week so we ate in the bar. Again there is an old world atmosphere and it is a pleasant setting for a nice dinner and a few jars. The food is good and the staff are pleasant and attentive without being intrusive.
Two things we didn't like: there was a rather unpleasant looking stain on the carpet by the bed which I found myself walking round so I didn't step on it. There is no reason why this was left there and not removed when it happened. Also the hospitality tray was quite distressed on one side and the only place fit for it is the bin – I found it off putting when making a drink. Had it not been for these two points I would have marked excellent on all categories.
Really lovely hotel, helpful staff, wonderful food loved the roll top bath
Was a bit of road noise
Entrance/exit of carpark a bit tricky in a large car

Loved everything about it. Atmosphere, good food, comfort, lovely staff, good food in a convenient location.
Didn't like the fact I was only there for one night! Will definitely be back.
Great friendly staff, super cozy room, great location.
Ambience, friendly approachable staff, quirky room with roll top bath adjacent to bed (!) Good breakfast with quality ingredients, position close to town centre.
No wifi in room 7 (Lion). Very limited parking on site, but copious parking at sister hotel 150m away.
Everything was perfect apart from I thought having a luxury room meant I probably would have had a roll top bath but we just had a shower
