Teapot in the bedroom was a lovely touch, great food, shame we couldn't stay longer
Parking was tight, but always managed to find a space.
The room was beautifully and tastefully furnished although it was a" small " double it was a very good size There were several little extras provided like tea making tray kettle and bottled water ironing board iron --it was very cosy
having to leave !
Good location with a friendly welcome, nice room and splendid breakfast.
Expensive in comparison to usual stays in 4 star hotels, £110 in a small double with breakfast is more than would be paid normally. Car parking around the back of the property not very identified and the breakfast would be better if the juice was self served.
I like the breafast a special the home made mesuli I even brought some to bring home .....was a bit expensive...but worth it
Wifi Food Friendly Staff
Bed comfy but bed frame creaky!
Everything! Good location. Very Friendly helpful staff. Clean. Food (we only had breakfast) which was excellent and a variety of options to suit ' I would imagine' anyone. All in all we had a good stay.
Nothing at all.
Location ,friendly staff cleanliness excellent food .The breakfast is amazing with so much choice. Would thoroughly recommend
Our room was a small double and we were happy for a one night stay but if staying longer we would ask for larger and I am sure we will stay again. At £70 a night with breakfast it was very good value
Loved the building, hospitality and location. Rooms were very nice and warm.
Shower in bathroom was either red hot or cool and it wouldn't stabilise. Also the cooked breakfast was only ok.
Friendly staff, great food, comfortable beds and good location. Feeling of history in the inn and welcoming fire in reception. Lots of interesting shops very close by. Beautiful architecture of the town.
A lot of road noise despite secondary glazing in bedroom - would want a room away from the front of the hotel on another occasion. Very small car-park so had to park in nearby free car-park. Not a major problem though.
Easy to find - helpful staff. Fantastic cooked breakfast
Parking very awkward unless you are driving a small car - and limited speces. Very little atmosphere in the bar unless you like sitting by youself!
Lovely staff, food great and cosy atmosphere. Have booked many hotels burford and overlooked the Bull but it's our first choice from ow on.
Location (Burford is lovely), breakfast, very nice room, residents lounge.
Nothing really. Small gripes such as our room being over kitchen necessitating shutting windows during cooking times. Cannot be helped as very old building. Front lounge a bit impersonal with reception situated there. This had very little impact on a very nice stay at this hotel however.
The location in the middle of the village is perfect the welcome n atmosphere is just what you need on a quiet break ,and the food is second to none an absolute perfect break and we will be returning again!
Bedroom was comfortable enought and as you.d expect in a very old coaching inn but i have to say the bed itself was comfy enough but far to low to the ground !!
Position, staff, food, furnishings, interior design. We would assess this hotel as very good and would return.
Skylight windows need improved blinds or blackouts to cut out the light.
Breakfast was very good, staff were friendly
Room was small, lack of sleep due to constant droning.TV channels not updated. Bathroom floor dirty, no pull cord on blind, no expell-air, windows hard to open, unable to regulate shower, not enough storage space. No atmosphere!
Excellent cuisine, gourmet in fact.
Limited car parking, so much so that I had to find a space in the street.
Quaint & comfortable with excellent restaurant food. A breakfast to linger over.
Shower needs careful adjustment to overcome its idiosyncrasies!
Comfortable accommodation with minute walk to the main street shops.
Ordered a rump steak, tasted fine, but salad wasn't washed at all, as tiny sands filled gaps of my teeth.
We were very happy to have stayed at The Bull. Carin Thom
Just a limited menu when balanced against a predomintently high value french wine list. However, the food choices were, in the main, good. Probably governed against the size of the kitchen in an old building. However, good food and good value for money. And the ambience of the old building was superb.
The mattress was way beyond its useful state. We stayed, I think, in the smallest room but a good quality bed would have made all the difference.
Friendly and warm welcome to a most classic English Inn.
If you are taller than 190cm, you might want to check the length of the bed - or at least that it doesn't have a limiting foot-board ….
Home from home
Lack of parking Unable to keep belongings in room after midday
