Staff were brilliant, location great for town. Bedrooms nicely decorated. Breakfast amazing Traditional building with lots of great pieces of furniture
Bathrooms were very dated and one was very poor. Very dated and bath panel hanging off. Some areas of bedrooms were very dusty.
Even when we were delayed in traffic and arrived very late, the staff was ready and waiting for us. Room was nice and clean, bathroom was massive, hot water, good pressure, comfy enough bed. We were in a hurry to checkout as well, and that was also no problem.
That I got there so late and had to leave so early!
Good location. Supper bath and good bed.
Breakfast Pub food Parking Staff
Bed was a little uncomfortable.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
the spacious comfortable room and fourposter bed also the bar area
noisy pub across the road and the noises from pipes in the bathroom service was slow in restaurant
Staff were very friendly food was lovely room was lovely too
Room was bit too hot in night
Evening meal and breakfast friendly.
One of the rooms (we had two) was very dusty especially bathroom. I had hand carved ham and chips for evening meal. It was CERTAINLY NOT hand carved ham. It was shop bought EXTREMELY thin and didn't look appetising Staff on bar not very friendly.
Creaky, hard bed Bath panel hanging off Rude staff Food
The room was a good size with lots of space for clothes. The bed was clean and comfortable. The towels were large, clean and probably the best ones we have had for a long time.
The horrible mould around the windows, particularly the bathroom. The blind was old and dirty. The bathroom corners were not clean. The water was scalding hot and gushed out suddenly and was quite dangerous. The kettle appeared not to have been wiped for weeks.
It was nice to have a bath as well as a shower, it was needed after a long journey
Radiator in bathroom was dusty between the rails Impossible I know, but you need a bigger car park
needs a full upgrade food poor
Clean and tidy, great food
Set up of rooms in court yard convenient for touring food of good standard
Friendly and helpful staff.
Parking can be a problem, you may not be able to park on arrival, public car park very close though.
Nice room, good location, good food, reasonably priced drinks, friendly helpful staff.
Quiet, clean room in courtyard
Beer was off ( its brewery owned ! ) Soggy chips
The staff were really warm and helpful. Emerys one of the Managers exceptionally friendly and helpful. The building has a certain rustic charm with lots of original furnishings and fixtures. Good value friendly cafe across the road.
Getting into the car park each evening was a challenge but the staff were very helpful. Breakfast ends at 8.30 am not terribly practical for holidays and teenage boys. Room on the front very noisy and very thin wall between next room .. could hear their TV. Bathroom not great, food not great and room cleanliness could have been better. Last occupants rubbish was left in the bins for us.
The menu was fantastic, and portion size and quality was spot on.
Nothing perfect hotel for our needs.
The fact that the Hotel satisfied our every need to cover our attendance at the race circuit at Ty Croes.
No information on meal times etc on booking in. The maintenance was poor in the bathroom. Blind in bedroom broken 6 Main bedroom lights on a dimmer but could not dim. Windows paint flaking off. Very noisy outside. More moths on the ceiling than paint
Good food Friendly staff
Staff very friendly, good food, amazing breakfast, comfy beds.
The rooms were spaceous and had everything we needed. The food was good and reasonably priced. The staff made us most welcome, remembered our names and our preferences and things appeared without our even asking. They couldn't have been more helpful. Emrys, the manager, kept us all in hand and made sure our requests for extra coffee and discussion space was met easily and quickly and always with a smile and added cheek! This enjoyable experience added immeasurably to a wonderful week.
Not enough lighting in the rooms to read by, even in some of the public rooms. It was also quite hot in the upper rooms and open windows on the upper floors were shut when we came back, making those rooms very hot and difficult to air.
