Manager of hotel was excellent and, very friendly and, professional
location staff very friendly
Food - First night I decided to eat in. Had a gammon steak and chips. Gammon steak was really hard. Chips were very salty and felt as if it's been fried over and over. Shower - had to wait 30min as only boiling water was coming out of tap. I went down and nobody was at reception despite calling them. When i went back to my room, waited again then the water was ok. price - a bit too expensive for that standard
The staff were friendly enough and went out of their way to assist you.
The food left something to be desired, and some items on the menu were not available.
Room was spacious!
The whole place has seen better days & needs a lot of moneyspending on it to bring it back to how it must have been in its prime. Bathroom dark & fan created a lot of noise each time it was switched on. Breakfast poor, burnt with little choice of "starters. No grapefruit or fresh fruit. Car park not big enough for all patrons to park there.
room clean very roomy warm good food
no easy chair in room car park a bit tight
Friendly staff Comfortable bed
Poor quality food poorly presented. Very noisy room due to traffic outside and a loud clock that chimed every quarter hour!
Staff nice and good breakfast.
I think bathrooms need everything new to be honest very out dated.
Staff were friendly and went out of their way to help and advise. Although Llangefni is small and uninspiring it is very central to Anglesey and a good base to visit anywhere on the Island, it is essentially only 15 minutes from Holyhead Ferry Terminal. The restaurant was good which was a bonus as there was not really anywhere else in town to eat.
The hotel catered mainly for business people so was geared to their requirements rather than the leisure customer, but this did not cause any difficulties. The hotel was a little run down but made up for this in courtesy and service.
The hotel is central for visiting all of Anglesey, half an hour to get to all resorts around the Anglesey coast.Staff were very helpful and cheerful.
Apart from the Hotel there is no restaurants within walking distance, just takeaways. The full English breakfast was very heavy, lots of food piled on a plate no presentation. The restaurant food was a lot better but just a pub grub menu. The two meals we had were OK but they had run out of things like there was only one steak cut available, no couscous had to substitute with rice. Seating in the hotel was grubby as was the carpets.Decor was very tired with chips off walls etc. The room we had in the main part of the hotel was very tired decor wise, with paint falling off the walls by the window. The room had one tiny window and was very stuffy. The cold water tap had come away from the bath and was loose, had to hold it to turn it on, no loo brush, there was a socket very loose nearly falling off the wall, reading lamp pullcord broken, in need of a facelift. Cannot recommend the hotel.
Location and secure parking
Food expensive and bland
receptionist super guy could not do enough for us , breakfast really good
bedroom had damp on walls around window , windows had never been cleaned , only one tiny window that opened we were in the attic it was boiling ,lights above the bed had never been cleaned , bathroom were do i start door would not close , bath was coming away from the wall as were the tiles general appearance tired and dated wood missing in places could do with a refurb
When morning came and we left!
Receptionist attitude ,Filthy room , it took us ten minutes to get in room due to dodgy lock on door which staff knew about ,we were told too give it a wiggle if it did not open on first attempt ! Stained bed sheets ,room had not been cleaned in months amount of dust was ridiculous ,dead flies on window board, loud mouths outside pub opposite ,twice thought room was flooding due to noise when upstairs toilet got flushed and the town clock that dongs every 15 minutes made it absolutely impossible to sleep at all (had just drove for 7.5 hours and all this for £90 a night £
late arrival due to traffic, happy staff, followed by a very welcome meal.
The out side of the bulding is promosing. The bed linen and towels where clean and soft.
There was not met and greet when we arrived infact there was bairley an acknowledment. The bathroom was dirty and the bath panel was hanging off. The shower did work, but it was not the correct shower for the wall unit so it was hanging on for dear life, there was mold around the bath, which no one would have wanted to take a bath in. The windows were dirty and the room was generally very dingy and noisy durring the night. I could go on but it would be unfair on the clearly over worked and stressed owner.
Very friendly helpful staff. Food very good.
Cleanliness of the room was sub standard!
Room was lovely and staff pleasant
Breakfast was uninspiring and the hotel a little tired.
Staff were excelent as was the food
Only had a single room as all others occupied
Staff were brilliant, location great for town. Bedrooms nicely decorated. Breakfast amazing Traditional building with lots of great pieces of furniture
Bathrooms were very dated and one was very poor. Very dated and bath panel hanging off. Some areas of bedrooms were very dusty.
Even when we were delayed in traffic and arrived very late, the staff was ready and waiting for us. Room was nice and clean, bathroom was massive, hot water, good pressure, comfy enough bed. We were in a hurry to checkout as well, and that was also no problem.
That I got there so late and had to leave so early!
A beautiful stone building in the town square is a welcome sight. The manager was excellent, friendly and professional. The hotel is traditional in style and tastefully presented. A very relaxing stay. We thoroughly enjoyed it!
Parking was tight in the courtyard but the manager made it possible - just ask.
Good location. Supper bath and good bed.
It was in a good location, while not the prettiest it was had the good facilities of a market town. And while it was not the prettiest town in Wales it was far from being the ugliest. (Holyhead wins hands down). The hotel is very attractive and is probably the most interesting building in town. It is well decorated and the staff are friendly and helpful. There is reasonable parking available.
The food left much to be desired and the service in the resturant has a touch of the Basil Fawltys about it. We were shown to our table but were not given menus. We had to ask, in the end. Also the food is really not very good. However there are better resturants in town. Breakfast was better. There were a large family crowd in the dining room both for dinner and breakfast that were roudy and inconsiderate of others but there was nothing that the hotel could have done about that.
Breakfast Pub food Parking Staff
Bed was a little uncomfortable.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
the spacious comfortable room and fourposter bed also the bar area
noisy pub across the road and the noises from pipes in the bathroom service was slow in restaurant
