Score from 228 reviews Very good
Friendliness of staff and great value for money. Food cooked to a high standard. Early breakfast individually cooked for me due to my early start.
The food was very good in bar & breakfast was very good.
The bedding not good. kettle dusty. Taps in sink to small. Not a 4star.
Staff were friendly and helpful
good pub with music, food excellent
noise from buffoon in next room
Nice country location, obliging owners and staff, reasonable size room with view. Quality dining and drinking. Open mic night Thursday with competent local musicians, finished at 11pm as promised.
Food was very good
Shower in room 2
Dogs allowed in rooms and cottages in grounds upon request, also welcome in bar and grounds. Close to road so a lead is needed. Self catering apartment and cottages on owner's website. Food is excellent and conservatory restaurant popular with locals and visitors. Very busy with groups of fishermen as Severn is close by. Easy to find from Bridgnorth low town.
Towels did not dry out in bathroom so need changing daily.
Good sized room for a solo traveller, good breakfasts.
On a main road so some traffic noise.
Amazing food, gd breakfast. Staff and owners very nice and friendly. They help you as much as they can. Locals very friendly too. Live music fri & sat nite. We enjoyed the music sat nite over a very nice bottle of wine. Would go again . We stayed in rm 1 which was big and had a very gd size tv and big ensuite.
We couldnt stay any longer as we had to go bk to work
Food and menu, friendliness of proprietor and staff
Lovely Pub Staff Friendly Entertainment Food Excellent
Room Booked Not Good value for money extremely poor however they did change the room to a cottage when we made our concerns known Self catering Bungalows and Cottages excellent
Good breakfast and a nice rural location. Convenient for Bridgnorth.
Didn't try evening meals because those I saw being served looked small and unappetising, especially given the prices. Lots of noise from both the pub and the air-con unit so no chance of early nights. Chose this place because I was visiting both Bridgnorth and Kidderminster but the drive to Kidderminster is horrible.
As I had asked for a quiet room, we were pleasantly surprised when the owner told us we were in an apartment away from the bar. It was very spacious and afforded us the use of a kitchen.
Only one thing which was the use of "frozen oven" chips! I suggest the chef prepare wedges which would be better as I could not eat the others.
Really friendly and a nice feel to the place. Good food.
excellence food. staff very helpful.
we stayed 3 nights & towels in our room were poor & not changed over our stay.
Staff are wonderful. Breakfast was very nice. Bed was comfortable.
Room/Ensuite very dated. Tiny TV. Breakfast served form 8.30am which is too late. Water pressure for shower poor.
Excellent breakfast and a beautiful location
Smoking customer in room next door, on phone hanging out of the window, from 3-40am to 6-45 am!! We were very surprised the sophisticated fire alarm was not activated!!
Room very small badly appointed
Requirements I gave on booking were carefully taken into account for the event I was on, and I was even given a cottage where I would not be disturbed, and exactly the breakfast I needed on the day.
Perhaps the bar food could include a few more simple evening choices for those wanting a lighter meal. However the bread and soup were a good option supplemented with another side dish.
All staff were very friendly and helpful A place to relax if not in a hurry to do things Although a bit out of town the taxi cost were very good Food was good both breakfast and evening
Slightly further out of town (Bridgnorth) than expected
Very friendly and professional staff. Good breakfast.
Rooms were a little tired but perfectly functional. Generally cleanliness was good but some of the pictures on the walls could do with either replacing or cleaning as they appeared to contain a lot of small bug carcasses.
Owner very welcoming and pleasant.
Bedroom over the bar. As it was a Sunday evening and the dining room was closed, what would it have been like on a Saturday?! No food on Sunday evening. Chelmarsh not easy to find without a satnav.
the staff were very friendly when we arrived was greeted and showed to room by john, the room was lovely, his wife greeted us too. the the food was excellant, breakfast was huge. would highly reccommend we will be going back would like to say a big thank you for making our stay so special
