Warm friendly atmosphere
Everything I could want. Friendly reception, excellent food, spacious comfortable room which was separate from the pub. I neglected to reserve a table for dinner, & as it was a busy Saturday night the restaurant was full, but no problem they found me a little corner in the bar & it was great.
nice location, friendly staff
the rooms were in a seperate block from the main pub/restaurant and the wifi signal did not stretch to the rooms, therefore I could only work in the restaurant not my room.
Breakfast - excellent food.
Dog smell near bar and restaurant.
Friendly banter with landlord and staff.
Slippery surface in shower.
Location was good as it was set back from the actual pub so we weren't disturbed. Breakfast was very nice.
The bed was too hard so very uncomfortable :( the room was also very dated so was only worth about £45 overall instead of the £65 we paid.
Near the A14 so easy to get to. Excellent value for money with really good breakfast. Room comfortable but basic. Really quiet rooms as in separate block from the pub. Friendly, helpful staff.
Was in a convenient location for us but nothing much to do in the immediate locality. Didn't worry us personally, but wi-fi is only available in the pub itself.
The landlady was excellent, she made our party welcome, was very helpful and served good meals - the bacon was cooked to perfection.
Nothing - we will return + will recommend it to our friends.
Very inviting and informative about the area, food excellant . Room separate from pub so very quiet
Not very welcoming on arrival. The breakfast. The fruit choice was a few broken up segments of tinned grapefruit swimming in a sea of juice. No alternative. The coffee was dire.the mushrooms were sodden in grease.this was 810 am.i could not park the car on arrival.small area chokka . Parked on road and moved later.
Welcoming staff Comfortable room Extremely quiet Breakfast Evening meal
Nothing -- will probably stay there again in future.
Room was clean and parking was good.
Very dated and 1980's feel to it. Far to expensive....would recommend a premier inn or travelodge in this price bracket. Also didn't like the fact there were dogs inside, especially as people were eating there.
Had a pleasant stay good room and great food
Breakfast, room condiments.
Parking can be a bit tricky when accommodation is busy, soap refills in bathroom not checked, used tea & coffee sachets not replaced after first nights stay. For business users location is not ideal.
The bar had a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the food was delicious and very good value for money. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large, comfortable, clean, well equiped and peaceful and the en-suite was huge! Breakfast was beautifully cooked, plentiful with a continental choice to start and we were able to choose our own time within a two hour or so period. I stayed with my husband, parents and adult sister and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, would highly recommend it to anyone and will definitely be returning.
Nothing : )
Large comfortable bedroom in separate block at rear of pub. Very quiet Welcoming bar with good food Good breakfast included
No liquid soap in dispenser by washbasin (there was shampoo in shower)
The location is great, was easy to find. We had a good meal at the pub in the evening as well as breakfast.
The decor in the rooms was a little tired. There seems to be little soundproofing between the rooms, we could hear the water being run in other rooms but it sounded like ours.
excellent welcome and food; superb value for money
Friendly staff, good service.
No hot water to the wash basin.
A quiet environment. A good base to explore the surrounding area. Comfortable beds.
Food was good, room clean and spacious. Nice shower.
Bed was very rickety ,lace curtains fell down and wardrobe cornice was off. Just minor things that need attention.
Good food, well priced and were able to provide gluten free food for evening meal, though I recommend advising them in advance of any special needs
The quality of the food. The friendliness of staff. The traditional country pub feel
every day they ran out of one type of food or another.
