The hotel was central with parking although the turn into the car park was very tight The hotel smelt damp, our room especially the shower was dirty, a window was broken and held together with plastic film, the fruit for beakfast was unspeakable!

Friendly and helpful staff. Location. Dining room. Hotel is a member of small group of 3 which would be very useful to me. No flexibility of room changing. I was allocated a family room by booking.com which I didn't request. I didn't need such a big room and thought that it could be sold to a family instead. Neither of the 2 staff I asked at the hotel could do anything about it, despite the fact that the hotel was not full, saying once the room had been allocated there was no way of changing.

Good location for walking in the Yorkshire Dales and Howgill Fells. Still in the process of renovation which I didn't realise when booking but seeing the progress of the work so far wouldn't put me off booking again.

Straight-forward traditional hotel. Large bedroom and excellent bed. Good breakfast. Central heating not working, but electric fire provided. No shelves in bathroom. No long mirror. Disorganised car park, with quite disgraceful large pile of stinking rubbish in one corner.

The single room and en-suit was of a good size. The bed was comfortable with crisp white sheets. The Bar and Restaurant had a good menu and I enjoyed the food. There was ample parking at the rear. Being a very old and interesting building, it did not have a lift, but the staff were helpful and carried my suitcase upstairs. My room was very dated and could have done with some fresh paint and new curtains.

The food, and our room, which appears to have been recently refurbished Food, although excellent, was slow to be served, no fault of the staff, we felt that one more person needed in general to run the Bull, what staff were their seemed constantly overworked.

The Bull is an absolutely charming old Pub cum Hotel. It offered all the facilities that seem to be standard at booking.com (they were the same at all B&Bs). It is situated in the middle of a sweet and quiet old town at the border of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, where one can go for walks, fishing etc. We were glad we stayed at Sedbergh and not at Hawes, which is much more touristic and even at this time of the year was swarming with holiday makers.
