Very good,
Score from 255 reviews
“The Bull was amazing, the staff were very friendly and very helpful, the food was outstanding and they deserve their rosette. Excellent location. My only criticism was that the bed was very soft and for me personally uncomfortable, but the room was great. keep up the excellent standards, we will be back.”

We booked the room at an half price deal, which seems a fair price ,the hotel has a nice old world feel about it, the staff were friendly, we met another couple here for a drink before going out but due to the bar prices they refused to pay your prices and we ended up at a local bar.the rooms are clean well equipped for the half price,we didnt use the facilities and rarely do when staying somewhere new so for me the room has very little more attraction than a premier inn ,which is just as clean and well presented but charge less for a night and their breakfasts are eat all you can manage for £7:50 where the Bulls weigh in at about £13:00 . An over priced bar,our room was noisey due to people emptying out from night clubs ,bars etc? The televisions appear to have had only 5 channels which seemed to have been tuned in randomly although we hadnt come all that way to watch television as it was supplied I would expect it to work properly.

Every single details is thought out well. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, the executive wings has a rather stylish business corner with nice desk and lamp and network cable to plug your laptop straight into the LAN, rather than rely on WiFi. The breakfast seems somewhat overpriced - that is, if your rate doesn't include breakfast as standard.

Rooms where excellent, very comfortable and clean, decor to a very high standard. Staff very friendly and hospitable. Great location. Only downside was slight noise from nearby bar but I was in a rear room, I believe rooms to the front of the hotel where much quieter. Overall extremely enjoyable stay!

Good beds. Clean rooms. It is a 2 star + hotel. Bad restaurant, sensitively from koridor when people passed in the night.

My wife and I were absolutely bowled over by this Hotel. We are seasoned travellers, and have stayed in 5 and 6 Star Hotels worldwide. We are thus not easily impressed, but the Bull has to be one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in for value and for the absolutely brilliant staff. They were all incredibly charming and attentive. We would love to know how that was achieved in UK, not normally known for the excellence of its service industry.

Location and thats it. Breakfast was rubbish! Ordered croissant and coffee in the bedroom. The croissant had been warmed up in a microwave, resulting in a rubbery texture. Come on Bull Hotel for a 4 star hotel, you should do better!

We stayed at the Bull Hotel for a wedding which also took place there. We thought the wedding, reception, evening do etc. was brilliant, the room was very clean, couldn't fault the stay at all. The staff who organised the wedding were also brilliant.

The breakfast was good, yet for £87 for our room, it was a shame it was not included in the price Our double room was made up of 2 single beds, this is not an issue as long as the top cover is thick enough so that you cannot tell - this was not the case in our room. The water pressure was poor - it took over half an hour to run a bath.

I liked the general feel as we walked in with all the old furniture and pictures, the staff were friendly, the room was nice but in desparate need of an update Our room was dusty and there were long hairs on the floor in the bathroom, the whole room could do with a refresh, (I am aware that they are in the process of refurbing the rooms, and hope next time we stay we get to see the results of this)

The staff are very friendly and with character. Their friendliness complimented an already well presented and comfortable hotel. In my opinion, the most classy in Peterborough.

Given the age of the hotel it has a warm 'olde world' feel to it (the sort of thing Americans love). The staff were excellent. The room I stayed in was comfortable and clean. Typical for a hotel, the bar prices where high as was the price of food, which is why I ate away from the hotel.

The main hotel areas are very nice with impressive decor and furnishings. There seemed to be a pleasant friendly atmosphere throughout the bar and restaurant areas. Room was very small, bed was uncomfortable and the decor was surprising. I have to say that compared with the rest of this hotel (which was very nice) my room was disappointing.

Fantastic period hotel, and Location Cost £15.00 per night and £13.00 for breakfast on top far too expensive. Paying for the room and extras at check in was surprising. Reception staff were not intereted or curtious at all.

The hotel was perfectly placed for shops , bars and eateries in fact it was just what we wanted. The staff were friendly and always on hand when needed. Add to this the breakfast was delicious and resonably priced. 10/10
