The Bulls Head Hotel  

Pretty well everything: spotlessly clean, well furnished, huge shower cubicle. The oak-panelled and discreetly-lit lounge bar is a delight. Staff very friendly. Clearly it's a place that the owners love and cherish. Highly recommended!

Our choice was made on the basis of other reviews and we were not disappointed! Compact but very comfortable room with everything we needed. Friendly and helpful staff and an excellent breakfast to kick-start the day. Highly recommended.

The place was comfortable greindly and cpnvenient. Reception staff very efficient and the bar staff friendly and quick. Local restaurants are very good.

The breakfast service was very poor. The girl had no idea about taking orders. We waited more than 10 minutes to order our food and the only other customer had their breakfast......and another 10-15 minutes for food on the table. Chef was not cooking any body elses food.

The location is really good and the rooms are really nice and comfortable. The pub itself has a really good atmosphere and very nice food - good for families and for watching sports etc.

Nothing much really but there was one member of staff that really let the team down. Very rude, and with no reason at all.

Bar service was abominable! Staff were busy chatting and ignoring customers on more than one occasion. Eventually got served with a flat beer splashed on the bar, with no offer of top up. Ordered a starter which took an hour to arrive. As a consequence ate nearby on the next two evenings with good friendly service. Breakfast service was a bit slow too. Restaurant closes early.

The rooms were comfortable and modern.

We were in room 10 and there was a constant drone of a generator all night long.

The staff where friendly and keen to help. Breakfast was really good can recomend the eggs benedict. Beds so comfy slept so well.

the weather was freezing and so was the room when we arrived. bedside lamp bulb was gone , only one bath size sheet I had to ask for another which was done while we were at breakfast.

we stayed at the bulls head pub/hotel on Sat 2nd March and found it very busy but with a nice atmosphere, good bar staff, the room was very clean and comfortable, big bed and big shower, in all it was excellent.

There was nothing we did'nt like about this place.

Great room and friendly staff. Good choice for breakfast. Interesting location with good walks and boutique shops.

It's evident that a lot of money has been spent updating the Bull's Head, and the bedroom was very pleasant. The air conditioning worked well and was easy to control. There's a good ambience around the place, and it was a pleasure to have a meal in the bar. The next day breakfast was good with excellent coffee.

Very little to dislike. The hair dryer in my room was in a drawer with a flex so short it was unusable; but that's an easy problem to sort out. Sometimes you have to wait a while for someone to come to the reception desk, but that's a minor inconvenience.

Nice atmosphere and busy bar area - but still easy to hear (we had a short evening business meeting!). Great breakfast and comfy room with all required facilities

The overall feel of the hotel and the excellent staff make this a very good place to stay

Not necessarily easy to find a parking space by mid-evening as the hotel bars are very popular.
