Okay for the price
The decor very dated, and no shower
Local to amenities, rooms were spacious and clean.
Breakfast very limited and undercooked.parking a bit cramped.an overspill carpark round the corner but not visable from hotel.
Friendly staff. Nice swimming pool. Very fair bar prices.
Very small room size. Room decor very poor with dingy net curtains. Very basic facilities in room. Noise from the coaches and smokers outside window. Shower very small and poor condition.
Reception staff at arrival was helpful English breakfast was okay.
Dirty room, especially the bathroom. Hairs in toilet and seat, hair in shower. Grout and sealant around the shower were black. The shower curtain was so disgusting black and full of black mould! You couldn't close the windows as the handle appeared to be broken. One of the windows had a massive cobweb. We couldn't close the door from inside as the lock didn't work, so I put a chair in front of the door. Squeaky floorboards and run down furniture. This hotel and definitely big problems with housekeeping and maintenance! Breakfast was only served at 8am! They were unfriendly and one of them was very stressed! I was very disappointed and quite upset that I had to pay £ 65 for this room. I have made photos but it looks that I can not post them on this review.
Heated pool and sauna
Everything, but location was good.
Noise from road, food cold and skimpy, outdated no right shower
Very poor quality 'school dinner' style food. Room lacked comfort and needs modernised
Bathroom had not been cleaned filthy window ledge in room would not put my dog in here for the night
the hotel was very nice and clean breakfast superb
BREAKFAST WAS SMALL BUT HOT , ROOM WAS CLEAN, ORGANIZATION A BIT TO BE DESIRED, OVERALL GOOD VALUE.BEER PRICES WERE GOOD. ENTERTAINMENT WAS GOOD
BIT STEEP FOR OLDIES TO WALK UP AND DOWN FROM HARBOUR,BUT IS ON THE BUS ROUTE. 2 STOPS CANNOT BE EXPENSIVE.
The hotel staff were very friendly.
Hotel is very tired but it is a fairly cheap venue. I noticed it has coach parties which I would think it would be ideal for. £32 was enough to pay. It's nothing brilliant but did the job!!
The rooms did not have windows you could open to get some air in room very uncomfortable in the room could not breath
Excellent value for money, room fairly basic but everything clean & in order, good breakfast with plenty of tea & toast, courteous & friendly staff
Not a dislike as such but sharing breakfast tables with strangers from other rooms felt a bit odd, dining room is big & everyone could have had their own table, presume this was so there were less tables to clean/clear afterwards?
Clean spacious room, plenty of towels, very helpfull staff I reception
Small breakfast, no shower, tired decor
Location Staff pleasant.
Bathroom disgusting. Taps loose [my pet hate] WC systern with a note saying keep on pressing handle till it flushes. Note; this would cost £10 to repair, just about sums up this hotel. Limited parking, no disabled. Forced into limited window to have breakfast and not being able to choose preferred table. TV so small you cannot see it from bed. Also about 25 years old! The list goes on but I am sure you get my drift.
Friendly staff. Swimming pool.
Rooms far too warm. No air conditioning. Steep hill to walk from town. No shower in tight bathroom only a bath.
We loved the breakfast couldn't fault that great service!! The room was very good size nice shower but was a bit dissapointed as the bathroom bin wasn't emptied and had used sanitary towels in their :-( but apart from that the room was spotless!! We didn't sleep very well tho as we had to leave the window open as it was very hot that night and traffic going by and drunk people kept us awake so could probably do with a fan in that room (number 35) but all in all a nice hotel and would probably stay again as long as we weren't put in the a room at the front :-)
All above sorry didn't realise I had this section :-D
The location was excellent. Very close to the town centre. On site parking was available and the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating.
-The shower doors were broken -The whole hotel looked dated -I returned from a day out to find the room cleaned but the towels were scrunched up and dumped on the chair -More TV channels would have been nice
Cobwebs moths, bugs in room.bathroom too small. No window in room.french doors opened on to a overgrown garden, hence the bugs. Booked in advance £215, found other guests paid £168 on the day :-(
The staff were very helpful and pleasant to talk to
I think you really ought to start modernise the hotel first appearance very shoddy
Hotel was clean & value for money
our room lacked a shower of any type & the breakfast was very poor, small & cold.
Damp bed sheets Pac testing had not been carryed out for over two years
The location - not too far out, but not stuck in the middle The prices - hotel and bar very reasonable The staff - polite and helpful Breakfast was tasty Pleasant atmosphere
The TV (in our room) was not a modern one, therefore only 5 channels. Breakfast Seating - didn't like the fact that you don't get a table to yourself if there is only say 2 of you.
