The staff were welcoming friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was excellent, we enjoyed a very very good evening meal and the breakfasts were freshly cooked to order and delicious.
Staff very friendly very clean rooms and well equipped great location
Had to ask staff 3 times for toilet roll in the end gave up asking and the room too hot to sleep not good
Excellent staff Quality rooms with a quality finish Excellent food
very friendly and welcoming staff, very clean and comfortable rooms. the food in the restaurant is very good. highly recommend.
Rooms are great modern and clean staff excellent food very nice
Food a little on the pricy side but very good
Every member of staff was helpful, welcoming and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Very good food - both breakfast and dinner. Good pint of Harvey's bitter and good value wine. A young magician entertained us with card tricks during dinner.
Central location to all the different little villages. Excellet road links to Ashdown Forest & Sheffield Park then the combination of reaching the coast in 20 mins. Lots of beautiful walks & scenery. Hospitality of all staff was excellent & very friendly the food was of very good standard.
Firstly, I was somewhat surprised to be in the heart of the country & find the road extremely busy and noisy. Just outside our window was a small workshop but they opened early and were also very noisy. Everything in the room & en-suite was of good quality (especially the digital shower) but the only downside was the lack of storage. Although there was a wardrobe to hang clothes there wasn't any draw space or tops to put things in/on for a short stay - we lived out of our suitcase on the floor which I felt was a little disappointing. In the shower room there was only 1 small glass shelf to put a few items on but nowhere to put toiletries!!!
the sociability of your staff as nothing was to much trouble we have not been to a hotel before but will recommend yours and I will be putting it on my computer for future refferance.
travelling up and down the back stairs as we are used to ground floor and living in a Bungalow other wise no problem
The staff were helpful & friendly. The room was well furnished & modern with an excellent shower room. The breakfast was enormous with lots of choice. Well worth the cost.
I had a room at the front , the traffic was quite noisy .
We have friends who live local, have visited "pub side" for years, but our first stay, we'll be back. The level of comfort was great, it was quiet, and the breakfast was excellent, as was the staff, so friendly. I agree with previous comments, especially about the shower, I'm looking to fit one at home. MJM, Cheltenham
Couldn't stay longer
Rooms are modern and uncluttered. Recently refurbished to high standard the rooms are reminiscent of high-end corporate hotels - but in a local pub/restaurant setting. The showers are digital and touch controlled. One day all showers will be this way. Restaurant was good quality and value.
Nothing to dislike.
I really enjoyed my stay, Jason the owner, really knows his stuff and his front of house and chefs are amazing. Had a divine dinner and an excellent full English breakfast.
Banging doors in the middle of the night!
just what was promised, clean with all the necessary features, very well run .
Well appointed room and bathroom Very good restaurant
Lack of arm chair in room Lack of towell shelf in bathroom
Extremely helpful and friendly staff Beautiful room Great shower! Huge, tasty breakfast
Pleasant friendly staff, excellent food, clean comfortable room.
The position of the Inn makes it noisy although that did not bother us. It was made worse by a development being built close by.
We were made to feel welcome right from the start. The owner and his staff couldnt do enough for us. The breakfast was fantastic and the accommodation's facilities were exceptional. Especially the amazing shower! They certainly helped our overnight stay more pleasureable .
The hospitality The quality of the rooms All the modern touches in the rooms. The location The cleanliness Free wifi
The door keys
First impressions on walking in were amazing, the staff were more helpful and polite than the staff at both hilton and marriot hotels we've stayed in. We were able to check in hours before the official time which was extremely helpful. The quality and class of the rooms were well above what the price would suggest and the food was second to none. We would have no hesitation in staying at this hotel again
The room was very small, however it had everything you needed and was very clean. The very uptodate shower was very nice. Breakfast was great and very good value for money.
The bar area lacked any personality in the decor, but that's the only fault.
Rooms are nice, best steak I have had for a long time, and staff are super too! Especially Katie, who is a good example that there are still very pleasant, hard working teenagers left in this Country!
Everything besides the bed
My overall experience of the three nights spent at the Buxted Inn was very good. It's nice to see and experience some good old english values in hospitality, friendly professional staff and quality food. Thank you.
If there was to be a negative, then the owner supporting Arsenal is the one for me. Hehe !!!
The staff we're helpful in moving us and the quality of the hotel was good
We could hear both rooms either side of us and guests on the landing. The fire doors slam and the road is noisy
Allowed us to keep the room for an extra hour after check-out.
