The cafe is set in a beautiful location overlooking the harbour. It is the perfect spot for a relaxing break. The rooms are tastefully decorated, warm and cosy and the food is excellent.
Nothing to dislike
Warm welcome delicious food beautifully presented ,the scotch egg is a meal in itself. How did they get a soft centred egg wrapped up in well cooked sausage meat in a perfect scotch eggs?A real achievement.
Staying only one night stay with you, could have easily spent several nights relaxing by the sea.
The hotel is in a lovely setting, the staff were friendly & good at their jobs. The menu choice was, we felt, very restricted as far as choice...but the 4 of us were all delighted with what we had. The dining room has a nice relaxed atmosphere. Pleasant views from the bedrooms we occupied. The bed was very comfortable indeed.
We were a little disappointed with the rooms which, we felt, didn't live up to the image portrayed on the website photographs....in that they were a little tired & in need of some tlc
Our stay was very comfortable and the hotel, was friendly and un-commercial. The facilities were great and the food was fabulous. Loved the location, totally unspoilt and a great base for exploring the area.
The café was very welcoming, the staff was friendly. we stayed in the Dunster room which was great even with no sea view. The menu was brilliant. I am not a dog owner myself, I thought it was good that guess could bring their dogs. well done.
All of it!
None of it!
room was very small
breakfast was good
it was all very good , i will be going again soon
one night is not long enuf
The food was of excellent quality.
We were staying in the smallest room which had no view apart from a brick wall and if you opened the windows you smell the bins.
A veru nice hotel in an absolutely beautiful little seaside village. It is off the main roads, as illustrated by the lack of Internet, and even cell phone coverage was patchy at best. Being a bit off the grid for a few days can be nice, especially in a flawless and hospitable little hotel like this. England off the main cities is all about the nice little touch: Like, you get a little bottle of cold milk with your room key, to go with the complimentary tea. How can you not love that? The room was fresh and modern and of course nice and clean.
ı like everythink place based in one of the best national park of england. hotel location very good.good breakfast free parking facility.hotel surrounded by native nature green also beautiful sea together.harmony of gren and blue.
Lovely house, spacious room, very comfortable bed, good bathroom, and we could bring the dogs. Breakfast was fabulous, tasty, great dining room and delicious. Would have supper there next time too. It was a very quiet room too.
It rained for the first time all summer, but the house and bedroom were cosy to hang out in.
Position very convenient for our needs.
The room that we were allocated was at the rear of the hotel and very dark and dismal
Nice sized comfortable room, quiet location, excellent service and breakfast, on site parking.
staff food location
our room dunster
Loved the location
Bed was a little hard
The perfect place to unwind. The location is superb and my room overlooking the water was comfortable and peaceful. The food was excellent and plentiful - real fine dining. The (few) staff were unobtrusive - a welcome change from the corporate over-bearing 'have a nice day' mentality - but very approachable and helpful. I didn't want to leave, but felt refreshed and kind of cared for after my couple of days there. Thankyou
Fresh milk to make tea or coffee in the room was provided on arrival but had gone off by the next morning and no dried milk provided. A small thing!
Location, room, food and all of the staff.
Right on the harbour
Our room being last minute was at the back - for more than one night would go for sea view if available
Room was nice, view was good, had six couse sea food tasting menu which was excellent, local resorts really nice Had a good day out in Lynton overall a great weekend.
We liked everything from the minute we walked in and were greeted by two lovely ladies in reception. Our evening meal was spectacularly good - not just excellent, super excellent. I had the battered cod - and it was superb. My wife had the pork - it was delicious too.
We didn't like the fact that we were only there for one night!
Staff were friendly and efficient and the food was very good.
black dog hairs on the bed
