Ideally situated. Welcoming, pleasant and comfortable.
Thought the chap in charge was excellent. Really made us feel welcome.
No wifi (that i was aware of).
no wifi or internet
Friendly staff and lovely breakfast.
We had a street side room and it was very noisy when large vehicles passed.
bedroom - generally good, well presented, comfortable, breakfast
sink light not working, toilet seat loose, shower hard to use - too low - I am 6' tall - designed for 5', wardrobe hard to open - no obvious mechanism or handle
Very friendly staff and a good cooked breakfast. Generously proportioned rooms. Good location if you want to be near the harbour.
The photos on the site are very deceptive, so look very carefully. This is a shabby, tired and run-down building, both in and out, and the absolute lowest standard that could pass as "habitable". The furniture, flooring and fabric is old, nasty and worn. Bed was uncomfortable (a thin mattress on a box). Cheap and horrid bathroom, impossible to get a reliable shower temperature from the bargain-bucket mixer tap.
Friendly staff Comfortable beds
Shabby, dirty carpets, paintwork needed attention. The photographs of the hotel flattered to deceive.
the staff were very friendly and helpful.the breakfast was well prepared .The Capstone was very good value and the location ,by the harbour, could not have been better.
The Parking was a bit of a pain-but I was able to get a 4 day parking permit from the tourist information office;which cost me £12.
Manager was excellent and really helpful. Was a bit concerned after booking to read some negative reviews but its a lovely little hotel and very comfortable. I would happily recomend this hotel . Good breakfast.
Nice & big room, good breakfast, would stay there again
Hotel is not what you expect it isn't even named on the outside only the restaurant. In need of a lt of money spending on it first impressions are dreadful
Staff were very helpful.
If location is key to a perfect break then this please is great. Right by the lovely harbour and the staff are very friendly with nothing being too much trouble. they really do get the little things right - great breakfast and a comfy bed. We were pleasantly surprised at the large bathrooms with loads of space for all my toiletries - and a special thanks to the guy who checked us in and carried our bags upto the room!
There was not much we didn't like - sea views would be nice - but the hotel is so close to the harbour that it really doesnt matter.
The staff were amazing and so helpful, definitely went out of their way for us. Lovely little hotel with really nice rooms
Great location, staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and the decor was very modern. Would stay there again.
Did not think value for money at £70 a night. Interior looking in need of some decorating.
Breakfast was good
The pictures suggest it is modern, our room was far from modern with two old single beds pushed together with very hard mattresses, furniture that should look shabby sheek but just looks like it is from the 70's, dated bathroom suite. The guest lounge was terrible with walls with chip board paper, worn carpet. Not nice at all. Our bedroom was room number 3, we may have had the largest room but was not the nicest.
run down and poor quality, the picture of the outside of hotel is NOT the hotel ! very misleading and I will never stay there again
It was all fine. Very friendly staff and in a perfect location.
The breakfast could have been a bit better - no yoghurt, fruit or muesli. But the cooked breakfast was very good.
location. no parking cleanliness general condition very poor very dirty carpets dated décor musty smell in the room and hotel generally food is of poor quality and over priced
room was lovely decorated apart from curtain hanging on by 2 threads and towel rail also hanging off, room was very clean though and hotel was cheap, breakfast was delish, location was very good
certain young staff member was not very good with people, we were ignored and stared at during breakfast on the first day. Rest of the staff were very friendly though, hotel in need of tlc, when our room was cleaned our towels were taken and not replaced - did not realise this until i was about to shower!! would have liked a bath rather than shower no dvd in our room, this would have been appreciated on a rainy day during our trip
Lovely hotel, full of character and the staff are wonderful, Rob the owner couldn't of been more helpful, a mine of information about the local area. Spacious rooms and bathrooms, and tasteful decor in a lovely old building. Breakfast was delicious, and wish we'd tried the restaurant in the evening, the pizza looked amazing. Great location in a lovely seaside town, will come again!
The gentleman that greeted us was very friendly showed us to our rooms also gave us a low down on what to do in the area. Lovely hotel would definitely come again.
Nothing at all was perfect for a few days break from reality.
Breakfast was nice, friendly staff and bed was comfy. Good location as we were going to a wedding at tunnels beaches.
The hotel is tatty round the edges which I didn't expect from photos. Still perfectly fine for a couple of nights!
Great location and the staff were welcoming and friendly.
Shame there is no on site parking, although the long stay pay and display isn't that far away.
