Room not very clean, stain on duvet cover, carpets not hoovered and on closer inspection edges were thick with dust. We were moved to another room that was just as bad and then upgraded to an executive suite at no extra cost. This was slightly better but not as clean as it should be. Ok I am super fussy....but still....I always think, you can put up with a lot if it is at least clean!!

Very nice designed hotel with excellent staff

Did not get the room I booked,told me they were upgrading me but the room was actually £20.00 cheaper but still paid for the more expensive room,room above the kitchen very noisy as the extractor fan goes 16 hrs a day

The staff were excellent. Very friendly, professional and nothing was any bother to them. The food was also first class

The only problem was that the price quoted on booking.com was £200 per room but was charged £280. I have raised any enquiry with the hotel about this

Odd smell in Logans bar.....

Had christmas party night there staff could not be more helpful cheerful considering they where working hard keeping couple hundred party goers fed and watered i stayed the night room was nice and the breakfast in morning was excellent the bar prices where fair so looking forward to next year already booked

This hotel is excellent value for money, it has two resaurants a carvery and a la carte, both are very good. The rooms are spacious modern and each time I have stayed here the cleanliness has been impressive. Every member of staff I have spoken to have been polite, freindly and helpful, the management obviously stress the importance of this to everyone they employ.

The hotel staff are excellent. We stayed on Friday night for the second time for an annual dinner in the hotel. The food and service was great and there was no hint of it being the usual school dinner fare served up by some hotels. This hotel is great value for money and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The bar is relaxing and the prices are OK.

The soundproofing between rooms is not great.

Conference in room opposit woke me up early - sound proofing not great but maybe I should have been up and not such a lazy bones - it was 7.30am!

Staff were excellent

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bedrooms are comfortable. Restaurant is good - portion sizes are very big - although not an extensive choice on the menu.

Wasn't too happy with the bathroom. Although the bath, basin, wc were all clean, the floor had quite a lot of hair on it - didn't look as if it had been cleaned. However, we didn't complain but I'm sure if we had someone would have cleaned it up for us.

It was clean and comfortable staff were friendly and helpful.

There was a wedding reception on and a couple in the next room were fighting the noise was so bad my friend phoned down to reception but the night porter wasn't sure what to do she instructed him to contact the police which he did when the police arrived they removed the man from the room. We had an early morning flight and had to be up by 6.30am we did not get any sleep.

Comfortable room. Plenty storage space. Excellent breakfast.

Table lamp did not work, leaving the room in semi-darkness a lot of the time. Weakest shower I have used for a long time. Could not release the bath plug. Left hotel with bath half full of used water. Finally found the BBC TV news programme on Channel 80. Many people would have given up long before then.

We arrived at the Carlton Ayr last fri around 13.30 we got our room and just dropped the bags off and left for Ayr racecourse,when we had arrived back at 23.00 we had actually noticed that we had been checked into a disabled room with a horrible toilet area and along side a noisy carpark,as this was a surprise for my girlfriend I was so disappointed and so was she even tho I had booked a double room and paid£100 pounds,when I asked at reception they just told me that they sell this room as a normal if they had informed us of this on arrival I would have stayed elsewhere.

Good location, plenty of free parking and good sized room.

Shower not the best!
