The friendliness of the staff particularly at breakfast - very helpful and caring. The room was a little dark and dingy in the day time. It could have been a little warmer too. |

The staff were very friendly. There was lots of broken furniture stored in the 'lounge' as you arrived and the hallway, although recently refurbished it was already looking shabby. |

I loved the sea view room with the table and chairs positioned in the full length window. I found the staff very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was very relaxing. We really enjoyed the breakfast. |

Greeted by grubby, dishevelled man. Uncomfortable, spartan dining area. Very basic. Lounge area filled with junk. Dirty looking bedding and matress stained with what resembled urine. No matress protector. Hotel spoiled the break for me and my mother, cut visit short as result. No response to complaints. |

Spacious, clean room with sea view at excellent price. Breakfast good, vegetarian catered for. Parking free in street outside but hard to get space however carpark opposite hotel is pay and display and is only £4 for all day. Right in Mumbles, easy stroll to all the Mumbles has to offer. |

The view overlooking Mumbles Bay was lovely, proximity to shops and pubs in Mumbles was very good. Hotel was clean and tidy. The noise from flushing toilets on our corridor was loud in our room. Breakfast served too early for visitors on holiday! |

Staff were friendly & helpful. Food was very good. Rooms were well maintained. Hotel is very well situated for some lovely walks. Initial welcome was not great - would be nice to be shown to your room.Sinks in bathrooms were way too small - no shelves for soap etc. When we came the "lounge" was used for storing junk. |

The staff were very helpful and the breakfasts excellent. The hotel was also very accommodating given we were a group of 16. Slightly tired decor, but not too bad. |

We used the hotel as a base to tour the Gower Peninsular and Tenby This hotel was the worst 3 star I have stayed in the room was clean but the decoration left much to be desired. Breakfast was fine and the dining room staff pleasant and helpful. |

We liked the location, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was very good. I did not like the room; we were in number 12, it was newly decorated but we only had skylights in the room, no view and no blinds so we woke up early with the daylight streaming through and the carpet was badly stained. The skylights were open during the day and the bed was full of black bits that had fallen from the open skylight, the carpet was also wet underfoot due to the rain from the open skylights. Very limited parking outside the hotel and the car park across the road was always full. |

Very convenient to pubs in Mumbles. I was about 100 yards away from the Salt of the George which was the meeting place for our school reunion the place was a bit rickety and could do with some decoration |

Needing an hotel for an overnight stop, we found The Carlton was central and being sited on the main Mumbles road gave easy access to all of the beaches around this area.Although osited on the road, it was not noisy and we enjoyed a nights rest and a good breakfast the following morning. Parts of the Hotel are in need of redecoration and some maintainance work. However, overall it was acceptable for our needs. |

Good location right on the sea front Greeting on arrival was cursory, not much of a personal touch. Room was clean, but basic and did not really resemble the website images |
