Sea view, dog friendly, right in the middle of the parade
Spacious comfortable room, excellent views, friendly and efficient service, decent breakfast
Bathroom bit chilly, some areas need a bit of tlc but improvements are being made soon
room was clean but bathroom was smelling. don't know what the smell was but wasn't very nice. room was basic not what was shown on line
staff were really friendly and really wanted to please.
Facilites could have done with some TLC. Shower was very slow to heat uo and handle kept slpiing and you had to hold the handle to showe, and the toilet didn't flush.
The breakfast room has been refurbished, it is cheerful and clesn. The breakfast was good.
Room 44 had a great view, it is at the front of the hotel, but the room was tired and grubby. We mentioned this to the lady on the desk, hoping she would some money off. She said she knew it was tired, it was on the list to be redone.
FAIR PRICE, COMFY BED, NICE BREAKFAST, FRIENDLY STAFF.
INDOOR CHAIRS AND TABLE IN THE WINDOW WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE
Great location Helpful staff Plenty choice breakfast Good price
Poor TV connection Hotel needs updating
Staff were nice and friendly and its in a great location. The breakfast was really nice.
The overall quality of the room was average, so I felt it was overpriced.
excellent all round. staff friendly and helpful. comfortable room and great breakfast
The staff are very friendly and the breakfasts were excellent.
I personally found the bed uncomfortable, mainly because I have a back problem and would have preferred a bed without a solid base. My partner did not find the bed uncomfortable at all.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good level of cleanliness. Heating was on, it was only early October.
we booked this hotel because it had a restaurant, when we arrived, we were informed it had been permanently closed. The room we were first given had no proper hanging space, only one bedside light and cabinet, tiny shower room. We requested another light and were then given a different room, much bigger an with excellent facilities. We paid a premium room rate so why did we not get the better room in the first place.
location. breakfast wonderful
no bath would have liked a soak after lon drive
Location was good.
Starting from point of arrival, parking was not ideal, choice of on the road in front of hotel if lucky enough to find a space, which we did, and we had two cars. The other option was car park over the road opposite hotel for, which you had to pay. We had a warm welcome and check in was quick. We had two rooms (39 & 49) on ground floor at back of hotel. They were not very clean, there was a awful smell, the tv in our room (39) was on a shelf on further corner from bed at highest point of wall and the screen was aprox 8 inches so we could hardly see it!! The noise from upstairs guest rooms and bar was very loud through night (wedding party stayed at hotel). Very poor customer experience - would not go,again
Spacious room no 3 great location for seafront and village shops and restaurants , also superb sunday lunch.
No blinds in bathroom and no toiletroll holder
really helpful friendly staff. Greeted by a man who knew my name and was expecting me. Enquired about our journey and offered us help and support. We were there for a family occasion and had booked lots of rooms.
staff and residents smoking right outside the front door - smell blew inside!
Seafront location, great room, excellent breakfast.
Parking - there is a paying car park opposite, limited free parking on the street.
Excellent location with really good view and superb restaurants nearby. Clean and comfortable. Staff helpful.
Misleading on web- no evening restaurant and not guaranteed parking. Shower needs handles for elderley (request for my mother 81yrs).
Great position, excellent value for money, friendly staff, great breakfast !
Bed was an instrument of torture Door / window over looking the sea didn't lock / latch shut - didn't bother us, but an issue if you have kids
The walk along the shore
The picture of the hotel was not corresponding to the reality. A funny folding door to the toilet that was very hard to shut and didn't give any noice reduction
The hotel is in an excellent position close to a number of good restaurants. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We liked the fact that our dog was welcomed. The breakfast was very enjoyable.
A few minor points: Some light bulbs not working in the bedroom and rather dusty in places! Just 3 coathangers The shower plug hole was very blocked.
I liked all the staff I encountered especially at breakfast efficient and friendly but not intrusive or patronising with "loves or dears"etc
On one night noise from the road outside and noise from the bar downstairs very bad.
Poor cleanliness. Seaview obliterated by trees. No chairs in room. No net curtain for privacy from main road.
Bed at an incredible angle due to sloping floor - impossible to get a nights sleep.
I'm afraid to say the only good thing was the location of the hotel.
It was over priced. The room was very shabby. bathroom door wouldn't open fully as the toilet was directly behind the door, shower wasn't fully functional and dead spiders in the bath. Cleanliness was appalling, dead spider found in the bed, dirty carpet cups and spoons. The breakfast was plentiful but the quality of the food was dreadful. Coffee and tea from a machine, toast wasn't even freshly toasted. The cost of a double room was £75.00. The room wasn't worth have that amount. All in all I felt disappointed and ripped off.
