The view of the bay.
Room furnishings rather worn especially the bed which was very uncomfortable because of the lumpy matteress
position, food ,
bit shabby. hit and miss with someone on reception when needed
A nice aspect. Well cared for flowers. Great location overlooking Swansea Bay and all amenities. Clean room. Nice strong shower.
We were at the front of hotel on ground floor. Very noisy but no one's fault. It is just the location of the place.
Location of the hotel was good.
Hotel had no parking which was very inconvenient. Location of the room was remote; had to walk across a hallway from the front desk, through a sitting room of sorts, then up a flight of stairs, then down a flight of stairs, around a corner and down a back hallway. Interior was tired-looking.
The rooms, the staff
Parking was not good
The location of the Hotel is great. All the Staff, without exception, were wonderful. The breakfast was lovely, plentiful and well cooked. We will be staying at The Carlton again in the future.
What is there not to like??
Attentive staff. Attractive room.
The fold-up chairs in the bedroom were uncomfortable.
Location Room Breakfast Price Staff Parking is free in the car park opposite from 7pm till 9am.
Location was good and the view from the window was lovely.
Bed was very uncomfortable, mattress needs replacing. Decor is very outdated and shabby. TV was tiny and high up almost impossible to watch. Bath mat was made of paper and the bathroom itself was very small. The Hotel doesn't look like anything like it is on their internet page.
bed was clean and comfortable
shower was poor and carpets were dirty needs up dating noisy fan
Good location for restaurants and as a base for exploring the Gower Peninsula. The hotel bar is good. Helpful and friendly staff and the breakfast is great.
Bathroom was a bit on the small side but that's not unusual. Bus service could be better.
very good breakfast and friendly staff
the room was very dirty thick dust every where , cracked sink, only one hand towel instead of two, did not think it was anywhere near worth £85-00 per night.
The owner is kind and very helpful. The room is small but comfortable. Location is great. Public parking across the hotel. Excelent view.
Good breakfast Clean rooms
Terrible beds (we had two rooms with three beds and they were all terrible)
Sea view Breakfast
Hotel Room too small for 2 people Bathroom poorly designed Cramped space-no storage Shower poor water temp control No Car Parking Double bed too small
The staff were pleasant, the room was average but comfortable
The room could have been cleaner, more thought given to the en-suite, no where to put tooth brushes. The windows in the room were dirty. It wouldn't take much to make it a little bit more luxurious, more thought to room layout. I did move the wicker sofa making the en-suite more accessible
great location very helpful friendly staff
very tired needs a good clean no lift so carrying heavy cases to 3rd floor not ideal
This hotel is located right on the beach & is walking distance from a variety of different restaurants. We dined at The Mediterranean which has lots of choice & the food was delicious! There is a walking path that allows you to walk via the coast line cliffs to the different beach which boast amazing views. For surfers Caswell bay is a must!
The mattress was very lumpy which caused some discomfort and there was an empty can underneath the bed.
Excellent Staff nothing was too much trouble. Being disabled the stairs were a bit awkward so the staff immediately transferred us to a ground floor room.
Parking is a bit difficult, but luckily there is two disabled parking spaces opposite the entrance.
Breakfast - Good
Room was tiny, dated and dirty Mattress not very comfortable Room DEFINITELY not worth the money
The location was ideal
Everything. The hotel is shody. Thin walls, dogs barking, dirty rooms, scalding shower and a mediocre breakfast. On checkout we weren't even asked what our stay was like just given the bill no conversation.
Our room was stunning. Breakfast was good and location excellent.
