We liked the comfort and general ambience of the hotel; and the excellent attention we received from all the staff. Our first night was marred by the noise from a golfing group in the bar immediately below our room but on complaining to the hotel we were immediately moved to a much quieter room and we were able to enjoy our next three nights stay. |

The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful two days and didn't want to leave. The only slight let-down with the hotel is I don't think the food is 4*. We had nice food but it was far from exceptional. |

Flower arrangements, maitre d' (he was perfect), super clean room, indoor pool area, wine list and lots of comfy sofas, the waiting staff excellent. Old-fashioned charm. Bed a bit short for 6'+. |

Key moments with your staff were excellent. Especially your concierge who brought my luggage to my car to discover some one had clipped my front bumper. He duly got some "brasso" & proceeded to buff the grazed bumper to perfection. No amount of staff training or motivational payments could better that kindness to a stranger. Our room was not available until the alotted time of 3.00pm. Whilst this was the published time the other two hotels I stayed at in the previuos 2 days were ready much earlier......really spoilt us I suppose. The car park got filled up with guest's attending a golden anniversary banquet & consequently I had to park out on the road! |

I was impressed with the Dining Room staff, and the old fashioned atmosphere. Nice location Very small single room - expensive for what it was |

The spa facilities were excellent and can be recommended to anyone. They are some of the best at any hotel we've stayed at. Using the restaurant was expensive and had a dress code that was unnecessary. From their warnings it also seemed that Norovirus was around. |

The room was very clean, the sea view was lovely and the breakfast was very nice. The swimming pool, jacuzzi and saunas were very clean. Slight noise from upstairs, nothing to worry about though. Changing rooms in the swimming pool was a bit too small |

high standard of cleanliness and excellent food - although expensive - £16 per head for breakfast is over the top! |

The setting in Cornwall is faultless. The beaches and scenery are stunning. Felt that the hotel is over priced for what you get, ie guide photos were very misleading regarding room size and view. Other fairyly similarly situated hotels seemed to offer better value for money for example including breakfast in the price. It seemed a little cheeky of them to charge an extra £16 each for breakfast which was standard continental/english. |
